My seeds have sprouted. I've got them under 2 460 wat flouros, is this too much for the yopo and other seedlings? The seed pod is yellowish and the sprout is tiny but it's greenish yellow. I've got 4 yopo seeds planted in a 6"x"6 circular pot with two peas in the middle and four peas on the opposites of the yopo. I planted the four yopos with a four winds type theory maybe they will support each other., I hope the pea inoculate tek works. Is 6 pea plants to four yopo(possibly only two) too much nitrogen?

In my experience they do best under full sun......so the more light the better......they should be ok with what you got on them for now.....
is it winter where you are? do you plan on putting them out when its warm?
They will be sensitive until they get about a foot tall....then they become woody and more hardy......so dont fret if they drop their leaves....most of the time they come back...
Also be carefull not to overwater until they are established....when the first quarter inch of soil gets dry to the touch, water them....
good luck and keep us updated on them

Yes it is winter where I am. It is growing VERY slow thank goodness it did not die the leaves turned green and it's starting to turn erect. I realized I was over watering it. So now it's doing OK. Here is a bad picture of one yopo sprout and some peas around it

I just clipped 3 of the pea plants I think they were sucking all the nitrogen away from the yopo now they will release it back into the soil * fingeers crossed*

NEED HELP!
Only two of the yopo seeds in that container with 5 peas sprouted... Did I use too many peas? The two that did survive are growing EXTREMELY SLOW for some reason I am not overwatering and have ennough light. Temps are about 68 farenhieght I THINKIT MAY BE THE SOIL. I used an indoor potting soil mix. I need to transplant them I think, Or is this too risky with the young seedlings

Fireside, if you get a few moments, can you address the following items for the plant in question (Anadenanthera Colubrina)?
1. Climate zone (zone 1, etc) 2. Is the plant an Annual, Perennial, Biennial, etc 3. Best way to start from seeds 4. Frost - will it survive a heavy/light/long frost? 5. How much shade/sun? 6. How often does it get watered? 7. How long from the time you plant the seed til its ready for (partial or full?) harvest? 8. Dormancy 9. Ideal soil mix 10. Ideal fertilizer if any 11. Container growing tips 12. Common pests and diseases to watch out for. Also any other sensitivities the plant may have. 13. Health warnings (IE: wear gloves when harvesting tobacco) 14. Ideal propagation methods 15. If indoors, what type of lighting should be used?
Any other notes would also be helpful.
