Lighting Idea... suggestions

I Have some rope lights from the local stor I bought for parties. These light can take abuse... they have been stepped on, beer spilled on and they don't get hot.

If I were to tape these down to the clear top of the birthing chamber do you suppose it will be enough light?

The only really need ambient light, not direct light. If there is enough ambient light around the FC I wouldn't even bother with those...

15 watt screw in compact fluorescent is my Fav..... :grin:
Inexpensive, cool & easy to use

Rope lighting does get hot. Trust me im an electrician and have pulled out pieces that have turned totally black, everytime you see a plant shelf glowing, there is probably rope lighting ran incogneto up there, the stuff is the shit. But in my Exp, i used it in my Martha, ended up raising the temp about 6 degrees.

^^^^^ same here. it raised the temp too much, so i switched to small flourescent lights.

Do not give advice if you do not know; mycology is not about opinions. Fungi do not require any special lighting to grow and in fact most see more substantial growth during the dark cycle.
