Well thats your level and thats ok.
But why do you come to this forum, did you read the title?

"Spirituality and Philosophy
For discussion of the spirituality surrounding mushrooms and our everyday lives."
You even admit you havent taken shrooms, you only took acid
Maybe you are in the wrong forum
You should join one for christians or what ever you are into.
Most of us come here for an alternative way of thinking.

In reply to:

I do not find in orthodox Christianity one redeeming feature.

The United States is in no way founded upon the Christian religion
-- George Washington & John Adams, in a diplomatic message to Malta.
This would be the best of all possible worlds, if there were no religion in it.
-- John Adams, in a letter to Thomas Jefferson.
The Bible is not my book, and Christianity is not my religion. I could never give assent to the long, complicated statements of Christian dogma.
-- Abraham Lincoln
"It is the duty of every true Deist to vindicate the moral justice of God against the evils of the Bible."

"I would not dare to so dishonor my Creator God by attaching His name to that book (the Bible)."
-- Thomas Paine
"Religion and government will both exist in greater purity, the less they are mixed together."
-- James Madison

Where did you get those quotes? Was it from some credible source such as the federalist papers or just from some anti-christian web site? I'm just curious and mean no offence because I used those quotes on another message board and have just had that question asked of me. Thanks.

Poor Soul,

You seem to have had some bad experiences with mind expanding medicines. 5 hits of acid is very irresponsible for someone who has not yet mastered such a powerful medicine. 10 hits must have been absolutely mind altering. I can only give my own perspective on these drugs and let you take from it what you choose. I believe that the mystics are right and that there does exist a Tao, consisting of a yin and yang. I believe that numerically the Yang is represented by a 1. A single entity consisting of infinitely divisible parts. I believe that the Yin is represented bya Zero. The great indivisible whole that has no parts. I believe the Tao to represent the infinite complexity of relationships between them. I believe that the physical properties are more a function of yang than yin and that the function of consciousness resulting in creativy and free will is more a function of yin than yang. That in essence there is a giant flip side that is integrated into this universe as thought. Furthermore, I think that our brains are capable of opening a portal to the realm of pure consciousness. We can in a sense localize the effect of yin within our brain and harness the power of thought. As our mammalion brains have evolved they have become exponentially more complex and more capable. I believe that the portions of the brain that connect us to the other side, are either still primitive and relatively undeveloped, or alternatively there is in essence a biological governer placed on certain areas of our brains to protect us from going insane. But in either case I feel strongly that psilocybin, lsd, mescaline hyper-activate areas of the brain that are most 'psychic' if you will. I feel this, because I know for a fact that in certain medicine induced states, I feel more connected to the great single consciousness and I definitely am more creative. Think about this last point. Your ability to create is the basis of your very being. If you could not make creative thoughts you would be a vegetable. Where do these thoughts come from? Your subconscience? Where does that come from? Your experiences? How does your brain decide how to create unique thoughts based on input? So, if you were more creative under the effect of a medicine, then perhaps we could argue that the medicine was activating a portion of your mind that was closer to the source of all creative thought. Mushrooms do this for me. I believe I am a better person for it. I regret that you have had such a different experience with psycoactive medicines
