I have been reading almost everything in the forum for the past 3 or 4 months. I think it payed off.....so far.

Got the rubbermaid at Fred Meyers.....Closest Walmart to me is too far away....And the picture in your link is a different container....The one i have has a weird lid....Which i think might be better....Has a real tight seal....I'll post a pic of the lid later today.

once you speak to anno or ralph, lets hear what casing method you are using, im planing on the shroom wizards(soil and verm) or 50/50

I have not heard great things about shroom wizzards method of casing.Actually, I have read lots of bad things about it. A 50/50 casing is more reliable. Coir would also be an excellent choice.

I have read some stuff about the shroom wizards casing.... No thanks....I don't like his tek....I'll try 50/50 and i am thinking about a dung and straw tek. May try a the flat Tek too.
I will let you know in a few days what i am going to try.
I'm still reading.....lolz

Consider using coir. Anno posted a nice casing tek under my hay tray post. I am using 50/50 right now and looking for something better. Verm is getting a bad rap for possible asbestos presence. I also am having probs w/ trich, I think it is due to pH probs from the acidic peat. I would ask some pros like Anno or Workman.

I have been watching your hay thread.
Very interesting stuff.....been watching it since day 1.
Yeah Anno and Workman are 2 that i like to watch what they are doing....they got mushy thumbs.
Hell... i read almost all the posts....alot of good peeps here.
I'm probably gonna try a few different things out.
That way i can see what works best for me.
I have 4 bags of Verm right now....lol
I had such a hard time finding it that when i did find some i went a little over board....lol
Perilite was a bitch to find in large quantity....but i got some today.....huge ass bag....4 square feet for $8 somethin.
I'll probably ask around and see what everyone suggests and try out a few different type of casings.
Are you gonna add some lime or chauk to try and balance out your ph problem ?
I have read where a few casing teks are messed up as far as how much lime to use.....that the amount is way too much.
So.....I'm gonna start craming for my exam....lol
I have about another week......so i'm reading up.
