welcome, brother.
good taste of music, i don't hear much praise of the twin or autechre 'round this neck of the woods. i saw autechre during the summer, couldn't believe their stuff was so live, i thought it would be straight off a DAT or PC or sumpin' - it was too much for most folks, too over-stimulating, but the real audiophiles were howling - our bones were all popping and hissing to the chaotic order.
besides the warp bands, have you heard much off of Ninja Tunes? (Coldcut, DJ Food, Amon Tobin, exc.?) I'd highly recommend their compilation Xen Cuts - 3 discs of shamanistic, hip-hop, jazzy electro splendor, with beats from Herbalizer, Saul Williams, Sara Jones, exc.
Look forward to seeing some of your work some day.
Peace/CJ

i tried again, but it still wont work. shite.
we make 'art rock' i guess is the best way to describe it. every song is very different, and we throw many elements into it. as of right now, all the drums are electronic. lots of synth, and a nice mix of guitars. lots of samples and the like. i dunno. once were further along ill post something.
is it just me or is this site REALLY, REALLY fucking slow?

I find your music taste to be good indeed too.
A band you may or may not like: Ulver. Every album is completly different (from black metal to experimental triphop), but I pretty much like all that ive heard of em in some way.

Hehehe, I was very suprised when I found a link to Iced Earth on your site some time ago, but thats not really my taste.
I mostly listen to (black) metal like Emperor, Satyricon, Mayhem, Burzum, Borknagar, Zyklon, Dissection, Behemoth etc.(could pm you a full list if you want to).
I like death metal a bit too (Cryptopsy, Nile), and gothic metal (Sins of thy Beloved, Tristania), but lately black is the only metal I listen to.
I dont know if Tool is considert metal, I also like that.

I like some black metal, not all though...but I enjoy some Emperor, Burzum, At the gates, Hypocrisy, Ulver...Old Mans Child, Arcturus, Samael...Children of Bodom is good every now and then..
Most common things I listen to are Opeth, Iced Earth, In flames, Nevermore, Death, more Opeth, some Slayer, and Bach
Metal is good for the soul.

Ah, I always forget to get some Opeth, I do like what ive heard of em.
Well, now that I know a bit more what you like, I certantly do recommend Borknagar (only the first is true black) and dissection.
Also, Satyricon for the lyrics at least of the last album, and I just have to post one.
And also, I dont only listen to metal, lately it is actually more goa trance and braindance (aphex twin and such)
I also like drum n base, jungle, industrial, electro, noise, (dark)ambient, neo folk, hippie stuff, (hardcore)techno, even weird opera, and well, stuff that cant really be put under a name.
Its just too much man! ;).
But metal is something Ill probably stay listening to, I still like it too much.
Now for the lyrics (it is best when you hear the song):
The scorn torrent
Break down all conventional forms and create chaos to reinvent order
Rebel against all circles and dead ends
fight your way with your mind set on the masses
execute with mechanical aggression arrogance and extravagance
march on unapproachable
shut out the outside pressure
or are you too weak?
when shall they see the real darkness?
In a world where our justice is replaced by mercy ...mercy for the inferior
The serpent's maelstrom is already here just waiting to be unchained
so feed the fire with the vile and let sincerity rule
why can't you see that the armoured hostile aura is meant to keep you away in all your primal simplicity
(it seems like) fright procreates the downfall of the mind
such a sin isn't it... the stagnation of it all
You must collect your instruments of battle and protect, to emancipate that which lives within you
Rebel against the chains
Break down the embodiment of your pain
Attack with robot precision
Rise and Shine under Wings of Divinity
Now pick me up night and whirlwind and let me ride with you to peace of mind and nothing to Rebel
PS: sorry if this was getting too off topic

Ahh yes Borknager is good stuff...I have The Olden Domain..
Certainly one must not limit themselves to one genre.... I also listen to a lot of classical music, (mozart, bach, strauss, vivaldi) and I love trance, dont know about all the different categories..but I like a lot of the progressive trance stuff, anything you would recommend?

Well, I dont like the "commercial" trance, only the psychedelic and goa: Hallucinogen, Cosmosis, Shakta, SUN Project, Skazi and Infected Mushroom are some good artists...
And for Borknagar, I find The Archaic Course to be much better (hope im not mixing up names), you should get that one.
