Concerned about this one

OK, I have to admit I'm a total newbie but I need input on this mushroom that my friends wanted me to check out (from a dealer). I don't even know if it's fresh or dried, but I assumed it's dried because it's shriveled up. Something about this 'shroom doesn't seem right. I haven't seen any pictures of anything like this. Maybe I just haven't seen enough variety of pictures. Also, the camera I used has very poor quality, and details are blurry, but I would say it's better than no pictures. The color is a little off, it's a very dark blue, but not quite black like it looks. I know mushrooms are suppose to bruise blue, but I don't know to what degree or if the whole thing is suppose to be? It feels rubbery to the touch and moist, another reason why I can't decide if it's dried or not. Also, I don't know what the little specks are but they are more of a silver color in person, I guess they're spores but I don't know. My friends said they had it in a freezer for a little while too (maybe less than a day) Sorry for being so naive but I would really appreciate any help.

that looks like a lump of coal to me..
is it blue or black?
what happens when you put a little piece in water?
it does not look too promising.. the best you could hope for is a poorly dried mushroom (with lowered potency)

That is pretty wierd looking, I would not eat that. It could be the real deal, just not dried properly...but it looks like shite...and it is not like you have a bag of these thing right? Not worth it in my opinion.

I spoke with my friend and he said that before it was put into the freezer it was fresh and had a greyish white color. It's more blue than black, it just looks black because of the bad camera. It smells like a mushroom that would be put on a pizza and I put a little piece in my mouth and it wasn't unpleasant tasting. So I would have to say it got this way from being in the freezer, but what would this imply? Has the mushroom lost any potency? Should I go ahead and dry it out? It lost fluid into the bag that it was in when it was put into the freezer. Any input would be appreciated.

dude! what the fuck are you doing????
your ways, are odd, youre just home-prosessing something into oblivian by improper handling, god knows if it was even a psychadellc mushroom or not.
throw it away, get some fresh ones. dry them, if you want a simple and time saving way just buy some shoes, youll need shoes someday anyway... now take yout the silica-gel desicant baggie and place it inabag with the mushrooms.
you can get alot of silica just by trying on alot of shoes, opening up purses on the self, buying potporri, or something equally gay :)
and Voila! driedmushies. dried shrooms are way easier to ID than mushed up rotten black ones

Hi lucidicious,
Im not sure what kind of mushy that is.
Furthermore, with the condition that they are in,
i dont think anyone will be able to identify them for you.
2ndly, only eat shrooms from those that are sufficiently experienced with mushroom I.D.ing.
And that you trust, a lot. =)
Dont eat um,
But keep on shroomin,
