Alien's incubator tek

I could not find a completely submersible fishtank heater, so I got the one where the top can't get wet taped it to the side of the big tub at an angle and filled the tub up to about 4 inches or so. BUT I am getting condesation on the inside of the small tub dripping down onto my jars and INTO THE HOLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So could it be that it's too hot? (says 80% in w/ the jars) Too much water??? do I need more air holes in the big tub???? (only 4 1/2 diameter holes or so)
help me please!!!!

Just so you know, I'm 99% sure you can stick that right in the water. Thats what the guy said when I bought mine, mine says not to submerge it past the squiggly white line, but I just dove her right in.
And you could smear the top with vasoline to stop water from condensing there, thats what I did
