A buddy has 7 jars and 2 are completly colonized. The PF tek says to let invitiro pins form before birthing. Do the jars need light to form the ivitiro pins? He read too many teks and He's a little confused.

first off; DAMN STRAIGHT- FUCK THE POLICE AND THE SHIT THEY CALL THE US GOVERNMENT. ok with that said if your jar is completely (i mean completely) then just birth them. no need for invitro pinning but they say that because if pins start to form that means that it is definitely colonized (in most cases) so youre not taking any chances. but if its fully colonized its time for their birthday :) induce labor by removing lids and turning jars upside down. when your kids are birthed place them in your terrarium. the hardest part will be making up names for all of your newborn.
-------------------- Holy shit people; COMMON SENSE! we were all born with it where did it go? maybe theres a tek out there to explain how to use it! BUCKETS BRIGADE left hand man!!!

Actually, they say to pin invitro because the jar is like a micro terranium, when inducing pinning invitro its fool proof. Newbies cant fuck that up. WHere as if you birht before pinning, if your terranium isnt in the right conditions, they wont pin (easily) I personally am on my first attempt. I pinned in the terranium, they all pinned 5 days after birthing (assuming I dunked, the one I didnt dunk took 11 days to pin). I now have mushrooms with their caps open, starting to sporulate. I'd say its a success, but we'll find out new years

To answer your question, no, they don't have to have light. That is what hippie tek is, basically.
