for 10 bucks? you will get your 1/2 pint jars and maybe a bag of verm or a bag of brf, not both though. you shouldnt worry about your terranium setup yet.

$100 CAD is $62.63 US.

You will easily be able to buy everything you need for a good PF tek setup.

Jars, Vermiculite, Perlite, Incubator Box, Terrarium, Brown Rice Flour, Dark Rye Flour, Fish Tank Heater, Spray Bottles, H202, Rubbing Alcohol, Lysol Spray, Dessicant, a 6quart PC for $30 or so if you dont allready have one.

Thats probably good enough. Have fun and lots of luck.

im in toronto so i went through this...

canadian tire:verm $5, perlite $5, jars like $5 - 10
if youre using BRF its like $5 at a health food store
zellers: spray bottle $1 - 2, rubbermaid shit like $10 - 25 depending on how big you want.
considering you have the syringe and the pressure cooker already, youll have money left over, to screw around with heaters and gypsums and shit. (i never got that, its unecessary in my opinion, and i had succes with only the above.) dont forget the %15 percent tax on all that if you live in ontario like i do :( . good luck though, man!

If I was in Toronto with $100, I'd buy a one way bus ticket to Vancouver!

when buying your 2-3 bins; get 3 all the same size. and fairly large also. get big rubbermaid ones that you can stack inside one another without the lids on. that way you can stack 2 of them together and fill teh space between them with water and your submersable water heater that youre going to buy to keep your jars warm (at 85 degrees). the third one will just be seperate as a terrarium.
yes buy a FULLY submersable heater and a reptile terrarium temp gauge. get two (2) of the sticky ones that you can stick to the sides like on aquarioums or reptile setups that read with that little green bar that moves horizontally; they work awesone and are like 4 dollars. get one for the incubator and 1 for the terrarium.
birdseed: dont buy birdseed. get dark rye flour AND brown rice flour like phrozen said and use that with the vermiculite (MMGG or PF tek) and you will have a MUCH better chance than starting off w/ birdseed.
gypsum would be used with birdseed but just start with the brf/verm for now.
and thats all you will need. unless you have some extra cash and want a glass terrarium just dont get the third bin and get a large fish tank instead. glass kicks ass and lets a lot of light in w/p having to cut up the top of your rubbermaid bim and glueing plexiglass to it.
youre set! now go grow some shrooms :)

i got a quesetion about 1/2 pint jars, how do i prevent them from drowning in water when they are in the pressure cooker? should i put on top of 1 pitn jars or somethin? or put on something so that water doesnt get into them? also, do i have to poke holes in the lids if i put the lids metal side down?

downforpot- stay on topic or create a new thread.
if youre gettingwater in your jars youre usig too m8uch water in your PC. you only need 1/2 inch to an inch and that shouldnt even get close to your metal bands let alone in the tops. i would still poke holes for innoculation but some people dont.
