This may not be 'advanced', but...
Could one take birdseed/grass seed, steep for 24 hours, and use the seed in pf style jars? I mean could one just innoculate straight sterilized seed with a spore syringe and have it grow?

i think i meant "soak in cold water for 24 hours, drain well, then sterilize @ 15 psi for 45 minutes"

or something like that...
