I hear, some types of sport/health drink bottle necks & caps are PP5 & cut to shape, will work. I never tried them, though.
I've always used Coke bottles - cut the neck off beneath the weld between the two plastics (very easy to see) and trim with scissors, then slice off the top of the cap and unscrew, put the bag through, re-thread it over this and fill with polyfil.
I've pictures if needed, but I thought this was common (I certainly used to publicise it on UK Magic Mushroom Forum before our new Law).

I thought coke bottle necks would MELT/warp in a PC
Old syringe tubes will work.
Monoject syringe cases will also work.

Nope. Coke bottles, yes, but the necks just turn opaque and keep their form.

The bottle necks and caps will PC??? Sounds a bit risky but I'm gonna have to give that a try.

Exactly - I tried it thinking the worst that can happen is it melts onto my bag and it worked without problem. Please let me know if you reproduce this.
[edit: here's some pics of a current popcorn grow in one, and a picture of the neck under the bag - note it's opaque, but still in form:

If it worked for you the main thing I'm wandering is if maybe there is a different plastic used in the UK, unlikely but possible. I'll do a test run with a few necks tonight without bags, see how it goes, I'll let you know.

Actually, they're supposed to be all PET... which is also what a lot of fibre filling material ('polyfil') is also made from (via recycling of bottles).
