I have used regular honey and have never had a problem bongtoke, but you should probably get the organic anyway, just to be on the safe side.

I have come to love LC's man...you will too...talk about stretching your dollar!

Lately I have been screwing around with a product here that's called "nude organic corn syrup" and it has worked out really well, and it's as clear as Karo light, so you can see your growth in it very well...

Just a tip though, don't over cook it, I have found that 20 to 25 minutes @ 15 psi is a pretty good run, I cooked an LC once for like 45 minutes and it all crystallized on me...

Good luck man...

There are two types of humidifiers:

Ultrasonics, which use a fogger device to atomize the water and create fog.

And Cool-mist, which use an impeller-type system to humidify the air.

Odds are, if you can see a good visible amount of fog...you have an ultrasonic. If not, it's a cool-mist or wick-type humidifier. There is no such thing as an ultrasonic coolmist.

Water condensation is to be avoided generally. To do that, try turning down the settings on your humidifier, and adjusting them to work best for you. You could also run it on a timer.

Yes i have lots of visible fog...should i turn it off until this goes away? then turn it on again?i dont have a timer..so should i just turn it off when i goto bed and turn it on when i goto work?should i put poly fil holes in this so the humidity escapes?? cause lots of frigging fog comes out of this ultrasonic..alot,even on low

try turning down the settings. If that doesn't work try something like this. The bottles act as condensation chambers, to knock down the humidity some.

Also, if you know anything about electronics, you could open up the humidifier and solder in a resistor to control the humidity even more. I believe all you have to do is wire it in series with the conrol switch/potentiometer. LINK

I use regular honey, I think... there's no mention of "organic" anywhere on it...

What would be organic honey anyway? How do you control where the bees pick up their food from flowers? There's no way to know IMO.

In any case, I have had no problems making LC with megagrocerystore bought honey.

huh? If you're growing cakes and using perilite, you're beating a dead horse by adding any sort of mechanical humidifier on top of that...The perilite should be providing all the moisture you need bro...

Your defining overkill here, if you have water condensing in puddles on your cakes then your humidity is WAY too high.

Cut er' back a bit man...

use Karo syrup.... it makes your Lc's clear... IMO, easier to see growth.

I've made honey LC's with far too much honey used, and they still worked. I've got a jar colonizing now that was 70% colonized by the time the spore jars showed growth, and the innoc was same-day.

some organic honey, like the pale, non-clear honey will prove useless for they form incredible amounts of protein after sterilisation, even if you cool and decant or strain your honeywater before PC. Be sure to get the clear stuff. Or it is always wise to go for malt extract or dextrose.

I was thinking the same thing!  The honey would have to come from organic bees!  Honey Collectors would have to tell their bees to only collect pollen from plants without pesticides and/or chemical fertilizers.  As if!!!  If the label says PURE I'd imagine it's the same thing organic or regular.:syringe::mushroom2:

I recently made King Oyster syringes with some non-organic honey LC... turned out perfectly. Just remember to keep the honey at about 3-4% of the total weight.
