i read about a thing called the una pod on a post a while ago and i couldnt get the picture of this up , but it looked to be a very cheap and effective method for cakes. all it is, is a plastic sac with an air filter patch on the side, and a tray with a cake on it... does anyone have more info on how to construct one of these, im retarded when it comes to doing shit like that...thanks

you just explained the whole setup you know. ive never heard if it before 2day when i came accross the post but there is no 'construction' of any kind. damp verm in a tray, set your cake on it and set it in a bag with a filter patch in it. if you need more explanation i would suggest.... i dunno. it doesnt get much simpler than this ladies and gentleman.

maybe theres a tek out there to explain how to use it!

Yeah, this is like a "new version" of a poor mans terrainum. Instead of using soda bottles you can use a spawn bag and small zip lock plastic tray. The nice thing is that spawn bags are so cheap that you can easily do a few cakes. And if you don't grow all the time and you don't need a big terrainum you can spread them out... A few in the closet a few in the basement... You can have these all over the place :)
Just go to a grocery store and get a plastic tray. I think they come in packs of 8 or 12 and go to any equipment supplier and get some bags. Myco Supply carries spawn bags for a good price. For me its a REALLY good price (free) :)
Its an easy setup and perfect for those just getting into growing.

What is there to say about the bags? They come with an attached filter patch. Put the cake on wetted vermiculite in a tray and place it in the bag. Fold the sides inwards and foild over the top. Secure the top with paperclips or tape.
Put it in a light and warm spot and wait. Here's a pic of that same cake ready to harvest:
