Yeah I used to watch it back in the day on Liquid TV, back when MTV was still cool. That was a great cartoon, violent as all hell though. I'm not too interested in seeing the movie but I wonder if the old cartoon is on DVD or anything, I'd get that.

I wanna see it because i LOVED Aeon Flux...but I really think its going to dissapoint me for many reasons...most importantly because its not anime

The reviews of it say its a typical action movie with no real thought. I'm not a comic book fan but for those that are the review I read said this barely deserved to have the name.

Looks like hollywood has managed to bastardize another classic in their never ending search for the almighty dollar. I loved liquid TV back in the day, from what I can remember there was some pretty progressive animation on that show.
The majors aren't getting a dollar from me on this one though.

Man, I loved the cartoon... especially the old ones on liquid TV when she died in every episode. As for the movie, I'm not so sure. I knew exactly what it was when I saw the preview, before even hearing about it. I'm not sure they can do the show justice though. When it actually became a series on MTV, they had a pretty elaborate tale constructed, which I doubt cinema will give justice. Still, it looks like it could be good, despite my following the original story lines.

I would much rather see Hollywood try something original as opposed to repackaging sucessful creations from the past. However, with movies costing so much money to produce they don't have the luxary of taking chances because its quite an investment to lose if things don't work out.

Hey pillow, how's it going? I never really left this place, just always been a lurker . I did take a self-imposed 6 month break at the start of this year but I just had to come back. Once this place digs its claws into you, its got you for good.

What happened to film makers with originality
Once again, you're right, We cant take a chance on their films when we know these remakes will make money...they already know the audiences to target

yeah, I noticed and was truly warmed by it in fact. I've just been livin life, traveling, spacing out... in a good way. My life seems to phase in and out of things, but here I am, forever drawn to the awesome folks that make up the shroomery. How the fuck have you been?
