Ethereal and my Network
    #4999003 - 11/30/05 03:33 PM (18 years, 5 months ago)

Hey, So I finaly setup Ethereal, and I can view all the traffic on my network. I want to be able to scan my to laptops, wirelessly, to see how secure they are.

Does anyone know how to do this with Ethereal, or is there a better program?

use some kind of port scanner. or something

i dnnno

ethereal is more for anylizing network traffic. Like sniffing passwords and looking at aim conversations, and decrypting propietary software's network handshakes and such

I'm going to get Languard going, i really liked it a couple years ago, and it looks like it's been improved alot. Have you used it?

Ethereal is pretty cool, but your right, it's not really what I need. I'm definietly going to get to know it though, have you used it much?
