I just took the the spawn bag out of the PC and before I even knock it up with the LC of azures I can tell it will not support fruiting!
I filled the bag with water and drained immediately before sealing and this heavy tonnage pressed sawdust turns right back into sawdust! Damn it!
Time to just go out and trim off some maple branches and try it later this weekend..
I have read that the myc looses vigor in sawdust so i might just put a cc in there and see if it will slowly just become a spawn bag for the outdoor bed in the spring...damn long time though.
I have came up with a good way to fruit them indoors without any fancy fridges so i am running out of time! Winter will give lots of BIG free ice blocks daily...

also, most wood pellets are made of coniferous, not deciduous. most I see say 5% ash.

The sawdust works amazing for spawn....... Looks whispy and weak at first but hardens up......Three year old forgoten blocks still make good spawn

depending on the composition, wood pellets work fine, look for some that are pressed sawdust without any glues or binders and make sure they are hardwood pellets, pine and other softwoods dont work well.
