my mushrooms are too small

Ii am a first time grower. I am using the PF TEK. I birthed my first 2 cakes a week or so ago. They started pinning a few dayz later, but the mushroms are small in the fact that the veils brake too early. the shrooms only get about 3 inches long, the veils brake and i harvest. I know that this is a good time to pick, but why are they so small? the pics i se online show mushrooms twice the size as mine and the caps are stillround. OH YEAH these are Eecuadorians.

Ii am using a terrerium set up simular to the richmans(cake holder)

How much head room do you give your shrooms? I mean how tall is your set up? If you give them more room they'll get bigger.

3 in sounds good? why are the bags I havee eaten had shrooms that are 4 or 5 in dryed? I dryed them and they got so small, inch mabey bigger. for example 3.5 grams is anywhere from 20 to 30 shrooms. most 3.5 bagsi have seen aree 4 or 5 dryed shrooms

Could be a different strain, grown wild, grown with a much more expensive setup.... the list goes on

With my equador, the first flush always has many smaller fruits, and then later flushes start getting bigger fruit. I don't know why this is... the shrooms actually have large noticable difference in size between the first flush and the rest.... tell me if yours are the same.

Try using a bulk tek or case your cakes. My mushrooms doubled in size on a casing compared to a cake of the same strain. It is really easy, nothing to be afraid of like some of the beginner guide make it seem.
