Are Sporechicks out of business?

Anybody know if the Sporechicks are still operational? I haven't got a response on email attempts to confirm an order after having great luck with them in the past!? ... Curious ...

Hmm.. unfortunately I think you'll find you may have some trouble with this order. If you go a little bit back (maybe a week) you will discover several threads discussing the decline of sporechicks. My understanding of it all is that they are having severe problems and most people who have ordered with them do not expect to receive viable product for their money. That is not to say you will not. I am merely passing on sentiments. Good luck.

No, they aren't doing buisness, they're ripping folks off by sucking up water from the sink into a syringe and calling it a spore syringe. And it takes a good 2-3 months to get your tap water syringe.

Like I said in another post if they moved any slower they would slip into coma's, that is if there not already there. My god damb hair grew 3 inches before they sent my order. Hollywood

I received syringes from Sporechicks after 2 1/2 months of waiting and unanswered emails. Finally, they responded and apologized for the delay, and I received the order that week. The package seemed very well put together and I believe it when people say they are or used to be reputable folks. I hope I'm not disappointed. Question is - can you visually tell if a syringe contains (viable) spores? I do not wish to waste the few hours of work in preparation to innoculate with some impotent solution. The solution inside the syringes sent is clear and completely transparent. Either way, I will attempt a few test jars before proceeding. I'll let you all know how it goes. :-/

I inoculated 10 jars with a syringe that spore chicks sent me and they were all contaminated except two. I wouldn't waste my time if I were you. Save your materials for something better.

I went through with it, but I haven't seen anything happen at all in 3 days (contamination or otherwise). Conditions are right... 86 degrees, dark, 50% humidity. Not sure what could have happened, perhaps _too_ sterile. Any insight would be appreciated.

You obviously have reason to be skeptical, but you gotta wait more than three days.

you might wanna start looking at the inoculation spots to see if you see a vague reddish color. i give mine about a week [7days] before i start wondering wtf is wrong. [btw the reddish color is a contam. not a good sign]
