Casings working

My first attempt at casing appears to be a success. I cased them Thurs. with 2 1/2 pint cakes of birdseed. I prepaired the casings with a layer of verm at the bottom, followed by BRF/verm+cumbled cakes, and a top layer of verm. They took one day to recover and are now popping up mycellum through the top of the verm. This is going much faster than I planned on and I have to buy a larger bin because the one I got from my friend is too short. Not bad for a first timer, of course I learned from somebody that has 40 doz. jars going at any given time.

I also made my first attempt at syringe making. Got a print from the FSR. (Which kinda sucked, small print, tape caused foil to rip to shreds) Not sure if it worked but I did get some spores in the syringe and knocked up 10 jars, I don't think they will work.

I do have one question. Should I leave them covered with foil or not?
