I need help connecting to the feminine side of the universe
    #4981610 -

It sounds crazy, but I don't have a very good connection with the feminine side of the universe. I've always known I'm a little distant from the feminine aspect of things...but I attributed that to growing up in a house of five guys and always being taught that women caused the fall of humanity. Plus, God is male, which automatically makes men superior(so I thought for a long time). Then, as I grew older, I began to kinda hate being a girl myself. You might say I grew very tomboyish and tried to avoid female stereotypes. Then I witnessed all the females around me behaving in ways that I thought were really..."weak..."

I became really keen on shows that emphasized female power, like Xena: Warrior Princess. But I hated Xena even as I religiously watched the show. I was envious of her strength, which was superior to even the God's strength (she defeated the freaking god of war). Her companion, Gabrielle, I hated for being weak. She was always needing to be protected and coddled.

There is one female archetype I OVER-identify with. It's the female who is always trying to escape oppression, to be free. It's so solidly ingrained into my head that I have this fantasy playing out over and over in my mind...all my dreams are about the struggle to "escape," to run, to survive. There is always some disaster, always some fight, always some chase that "I" have to persevere, and it's always the same fierce, relentless female archetype that engages the drama.

If a female character doesn't match that image in my head, I just lose interest.

THIS IS A PROBLEM!! And it upsets me since I want to be a well-rounded writer. I need to connect to the feminine side of the universe without shading it over in a protective, masculine haze.

Well, I'm not sure if I made any sense or of what I'm asking really, but the concise version of this post is:

I feel disconnected from the feminine side of the universe. How do I learn to see the beauty (beyond just an aesthetic appreciation) in the feminine side of things? (the "she" and the "her" of life?)

How do I learn to love it? And not be mildly repelled by it?

Love is a choice, not something you must learn.

To connect with your feminine side, the simplest way is right under your nose. YOU.

Choose to ACCEPT yourself as who you are. Make peace with your unreachable fantasy. Accept it for what it is; a dream, a wish, a very real part of the imagination.

Accept who you are... and the feminine half of the universe will open her arms to you, and give you the life she exists to give.

Perhaps a new rolemodel might help.

Ever heard of Tara?

A buddhist goddess that comes in two exciting flavours:
White Tara is a personification of strong protecting femininity, and
Green Tara has all the dynamism and vigor of a young girl, always intervening and getting people out of trouble.

Then there is Alice, from the Lewis Carroll books. Young, brave, smart and certainly no tomboy.

From the greek pantheon there is Artemis huntress and protectress of the forest.

Slightly more controversial, from D.A.F. de Sade's depraved imagination, after being locked up for decades alone in a cramped cell, there are the virtuous Justine, who never stops fighting for justice even though she usually ends up being sodomised by aristocrats, bishops or bandits, and her more cunning sister Juliette who uses her sex for machiavellian machinations to gain wealth and power.

I'm sure there are other positive women from history literature and mythology to connect to.

Ellemy, I really like the way you look into yourself and confront things.

This warrior/survivor princess fantasy is a good one. You need to grow beyond it, but don't reject it. It has saved you to the point that you are ready for the next step. Honor it. ( I also had this fantasy on the male side )

I'm sure you can get some great advice on this. Veritas comes to mind immediately. This is one of  her specialties.

I am going to recommend a book that I think is so very powerful for work on the self and the challenges we face. Be prepared, it's a warriors challenge (that why I think you should hang on to all your warrior images right now). The book is call The Pathwork of Self-Transformation, by Eva Pierrakos . It's shadow work of a most transformational kind. Love to you.

interesting thread. this may not be the best advice ever, but identifying with Xena, or any other tv-personality is not a fair comparison.

Instead of looking at Xena (or whoever) as a symbol for something, find an actual person.

edit: (besides, that show only lasted as long as it did because there was a healthy serving of huge boobs stuffed into skin-tight costumes on every episode...)

Part of the reason why I love fictional characters so much is because I seldom had interaction in my life with "real" people when I was younger besides my family.  (we lived in the middle of nowhere so I entertained myself most of the time.)  We did attend church a lot though. All the women and men I saw "fit" a certain "mold" and I really didn't like what I saw...so I tended to create people in my head the opposite of them.  I kept looking for a "strong" female figure, but there wasn't any around me when I was a kid (or so I thought) ...so I created one in my head.  But there's nothing really feminine about her.  She's actually kind of a dirty monster.

Anyway, Xena is a shitty show.  My husband and I tried to watch it the other night and couldn't finish it.  It was nice to have whenever I was trapped in my room as a teenager though.  (before parental figures removed tv from room)

I don't really know any powerful female figures in real life to look up to.  I've always secretly admired Hilary Clinton, just because everyone hates her for some reason.  I figure she must be doing something right if most Repulibican males hate her.  She reminds me a little of Cersei Lannister, from a 'Game of Thrones,' one of my favorite books.  Cersei was a queen who betrayed her husband (the king) to create incestual children with her brother.  She and her brother are twins and are in love with one another.  THe problem is, her husband thinks that these children (the heirs to the throne) are his kids.  Martin pretty much paints Cersei as one evil bitch, but I like her anyway.  You should see the way she schemes and plots to remain in power.  She causes her husband to have an "accident" so she is free to assume his position.  In some sort of weird, twisted way, I find this both amusing and admirable.

And then Star Trek: Voyager is packed with powerful women who aren't weak pushovers.  In fact, that's why out of all the Star Treks (well, besides TNG, of COURSE!) I like Voyager.  It has Janeway, who I admit, I didn't like in the beginning, but as the series went on she developed a more cutthroat attitude I found appealing.  I liked seeing a woman in charge, unafraid to rip some assertive alien's nuts off if the situation called for it.  Then there's Seven of Nine.  I loved her for her cold, unflinching demenor.  And Blanna Tores, the chief engineer.  I appreciated her razor-like sarcasm.

Maybe I don't have a clear definition in my head on what is masculine

and what is feminine.

Can anyone tell me?

Thanks for the discussion!!

I realize that I suggest a lot of books, but Jean Shinoda-Bolen's Goddesses in Everywoman (as well as Gods in Everyman) are incredibly useful reads. I have them both and my Lady and I have referred back to them for years. A Jungian analyst and psychiatrist, Bolen utilizes the Greek pantheon (pan=all, theon=gods) to illustrate the feminine (and masculine) archetypes of the Collective Unconscious (Objective Psyche). Using her scheme, we have a sense of which of these 'universals' go into our individual personalities; which one's are dominant and which ones we need to increase.

For example, despite some serious hourglass curves, my Lady does not identify with Aphrodite (goddess of sensual love) as much as she could (for balance), but rather, there is a lot of identification with the intellectual Athena, and a good deal of Hestia's home-body characteristics. She demonstrates some Demeter characteristics with her daughter as well. (Bolen describes all these 'deities' in detail using Jungian psychology in a very readable way).

I, for example, am primarily a Hermes-Mercury man as a 'psychopomp' (soul-guide) - a modern day psychotherapist. I can build things and thus have an element of Hephaistus (the blacksmith). I have a strong Apollonian logic, yet I can fly to ecstatic extremes with Dionysus. I have virtually no Zeus characteristics - I'm not a womanizer, nor am I interested in fathering children. I've taken a couple of martial arts, and so I have a bit of Ares-Mars in me.

Just some examples without fleshing it out fully, but you get the idea. It is a real Rx for your question!

im not making this political, but I am pointing out that this sort of logic could be a direct result of making up people in your mind to interact with instead of real people.

To whatever degree you used that to pass time, you should consider that as a factor in what you are using to measure up to. If you are comparing yourself with fictional personas or hollywood characters, then you are not being fair to yourself.

Ellemy, I can relate to your dilemma.  I, too, found few admirable females in "real life," and turned to goddess figures on TV ("Isis," "Wonder Woman," "The Bionic Woman," and others).  But the daily lives of these superwomen had little to do with my experiences, and so there was no application for those models.  I developed a hard shell, believing that this would protect me from the oppression of women (by themselves and by others whom they gave their power away to) I witnessed every day.

My inner work led to a desire to develop the healthy feminine side of my nature, to accept that there is more strength in receptivity, acceptance, and vulnerability than defensiveness. I have found my research into mythology to be healing.  I recommend the Greek and Roman pantheons, as there are many positive female "aspects" explored in the goddess archetypes.

My real breakthroughs have been associated with Tantra practice, and invoking the divine feminine.  The female archetypes in the Hindu pantheon are powerful and positive.  Even Kali, the goddess of death and destruction, is also the Mother and protector.  Her destruction is the removal of obstacles--out with the old, in with the new.

During my divorce and the difficult years following, I wore a silver pendant which depicted Kali.  When my strength flagged, or my resolve to push forward into a new life wavered, I would ask for divine assistance in removing the obstacles I faced.  I could identify with her fierceness and devotion to her children, and model the ability to let go of the dead past.

just connect to the story itself.
the feminine side is connected with the rest.
looking for it specifically makes it run and hide. so all you will see is its dirty feet.

intentionally, look at something else, be gentle and indirect; the furtive creatures will come to trust you better and may emerge from the woodwork.

same applies if you beigin to feel estranged from the masculine side. just get deeper into the whole story, all the characters come out naturally.

Thanks for referencing Kali. I remember feeling very attracted to her whenever we read about her in Philosophy class. I think something is clicking as I read more about her. I found a few links on google also that have been helpful.

"It is partly correct to say Kali is a goddess of death but She brings the death of the ego as the illusory self-centered view of reality. Nowhere in the Hindu stories is She seen killing anything but demons nor is She associated specifically with the process of human dying like the Hindu god Yama (who really is the god of death). It is true that both Kali and Shiva are said to inhabit cremation grounds and devotees often go to these places to meditate. This is not to worship death but rather it is to overcome the I-am-the-body idea by reinforcing the awareness that the body is a temporary condition. Shiva and Kali are said to inhabit these places because it is our attachment to the body that gives rise to the ego. Shiva and Kali grant liberation by removing the illusion of the ego. Thus we are the eternal I AM and not the body. This is underscored by the scene of the cremation grounds.

Of all the forms of Devi, She is the most compassionate because She provides moksha or liberation to Her children. She is the counterpart of Shiva the destroyer. They are the destroyers of unreality. The ego sees Mother Kali and trembles with fear because the ego sees in Her its own eventual demise. A person who is attached to his or her ego will not be receptive to Mother Kali and she will appear in a fearsome form. A mature soul who engages in spiritual practice to remove the illusion of the ego sees Mother Kali as very sweet, affectionate, and overflowing with incomprehensible love for Her children."

This is aside the point, but I believe I "interacted" with Kali during a powerful trip in which I experienced ego death. One of the visuals my ego remembers vividly before succumbing to panic was the image of a Hindu god/goddess. It was unreal, so I can't really explain it...but I saw that figure just as my mind was breaking down into total chaos. I could've just gave in...but instead I put up a fight, and saw this entity "Kali" change into fearsome form just like it mentions in the passage above. She was going to take me whether I went willingly or not...it was the worst agony. I did feel totally destroyed that night.

I got to build anew afterwards though.

Anyway, it's very interesting to think of how Kali might already be in my life. I think I'm going to buy a statue of her to put next to my Buddha one.

Thanks again...I may PM you later after I do more reading.

In Tarot, the Death card does not represent death of the body, but death of that which is no longer "alive" and useful. It can also be thought of as "Change" or "Cleaning House."

Kali is a similar archetype. Her destructive energy removes that which is already dead or dying, leaving growing room for that which is alive. She prunes, she does not clear-cut.

the thing is you have to go around the issue to come back in again fresh. (sounds like re-incarnation?)

Yeah, do either Green Tara mantra:
Om Tare Tutare Ture Soha
or Mahalakshmi mantra
Om Shrim Klim Mahalakshmiyei Namaha

These are good mantras.

Another is
Om Shrii Shriyei Swaha

The Green Tara is to get the grace of the timeless Bodhisattva Tara to help liberate one from calamaties. The other two are for Mahalakshmi - Goddess of Light, and the basic Glorious Goddess of life.

I also recommend that you look into the Sri Vidya tradition of India, and the Khadgamala Stotram

for a long time now i've felt that masculine and feminine were completely fucked. a couple thousand years of the lowest common denominator yearnings for what the other should be. i've spent some time in the past couple years observing how women appear to want men to be (at least where i live), then i learned to mimic it. i rarely use it because its not me, its just playing on poeple's subconscious wants, which are usually pretty.. low spectrum.

i have a great love for transexual people, everyone else is so fucked up that they have to act "bizzarely" just to feel like themselves.

edit: i actually got into a relationship with a girl who was obssesed with being with archetypal men. the relationship lasted 8 months and it was rather uncomfortable. the only thing i learned is my origional opinion that levels of consciousness is what i want held true.

Hey Divided, do you really think so?

I have a Huge park I can walk through anytime I want. It's kinda wildernessy...I take my dog there just about every day.

My question is...how do you get the feminine out of the wilderness? I mean, I know HOW...I feel much more levelheaded after a walk outside in the wilderness. Why do you consider this wild energy a feminine influence?

I read somewhere that all babies in the womb are female until they "develop" into male. Is this true?

If you like the Indian (and therefore Eastern) Kali, you will no doubt enjoy learning about Adam's first wife (before Eve) Lilith, who refused to lie 'beneath' Adam since they were equals, and so left him to mate with demons! Orthodox Jews still protect newborn babies with talismans from having their souls taken by this archetype of the 'Terrible Feminine.'

Erase everything you thought you ever learned or knew about balancing out your masculine and feminine energy. Take every yin yang stereotype and make like they are fanciful ideas someone made up.

For humankind alike it comes down to love of self and others and the lack of love for the self and others-fear.

Even lack of love is nonsense. There is more in limitless abundance to be harnessed then any life form that can harness it can know what to do with it. Ever fill up with it to the point of feeling like your going to burst at the seems. WOW thats a great powerful feeling.

We as human beings are all givers and receivers. Love is a self balancing system of giving and receiving. Fear due to lack beliefs is the unbalanced system that just takes, denies and rejects. This is what is to be understood, the difference between how love balances and fear makes us feel off balance and as if we need to be balancing. Male and female stereotypes have nothing to do with it as all humans have the capacity to love give and receive.

If one can give/provide and accept and receive humbly without expecting anything in return or feeling they have to give in return, then they are not in fear but in the security of self love and self worth. Thats how you recognize strength in others. The weak aspect can't give without expecting in return nor accept without feeling in debt-negative about it.

The bottom line is that LOVE both humbly gives and receives freely of itself as love is secure in itself worth and its boundless limitless eternity.

FEAR, hoards and forcefully takes and rejects what comes from out of another's love. When fear gives, it always has a manipulative agenda and expects payback. Fear is a closed restrictive system. Love is an open, free and expansive one.

Love gives AND receives of the self and to and from others. Love is a positive balanced system by its own nature.

Fear takes from the self and others. Fear is like a void, a black hole that sucks things into it and creates a downward spiral, and pulls down like gravity.

If there was no such force as gravity, there would be no feeling need for balance in the first place. You'd never have anywhere to fall down into or know what falling even felt like let alone the crash landing which is what we fear-the pain and damage that results from a bad fall.

Getting into balance with your personal power means getting into love and out of fear, like getting into higher financial net worths and out of financial debt. In love, you keep moving out in an expansive nature in all directions. Love receives from the self by drawing in from the self and pushing the self out.

The polarity at hand has to do with fear being pit as loves opposite when really fear is just where self love and love and acceptance for all is in lack.

Contrary to popular beliefs, we don't truly balance out to our use of power and strength by being 50% love- 50% fear. Fear is a negative and cancels out the love bringing you to zero.

50-------------0+++++++++++++++50 balances out to ZERO-No power.

Replace ALL negatives with positives and you will have positive power and when you have positive power balance is a given because their is no negative creating a gravity pull for you feel you need to counter balance yourself against.

Self love has to do with knowing the love we come from and are made of. In essence, its what we are. Love has to be nothing extra special other then understanding it to be the balanced nature of energy giving and receiving of itself and making more of itself when it builds more. It's an expansive energy, a self fluffing energy, a self sustaining energy.

Love is the best of humankind as it is the energy that nurtures, protects, provides, ensures, stabilizes, grows, cares and is what just IS in all of its glory or lack there of.

We come into full balanced power and strength when we replace the negative fear value with the positive love values.

It's about knowing the worth of the love within you. You won't know your self worth until you know your love. You come to realize it by sharing and giving it to others and yourself. You come to know it and experience its power when you build, construct and create with it.

When you realize the power of your love, the fear washes away and egoic pride is replaced with humbleness of being.

When we fall out of balance, in terms of love and fear, its actually because we are either giving love to everyone but ourselves or, are giving it only to ourselves and no others, or are not giving it at all to the self or others.

Withholding from the self is a negative.

Withholding from others is a negative.

When the bank withholds from you, you have no money, no power. The more you have to borrow or steal, the more you "feel" you "fall" into debt and the more you "feel" you owe life. The burden and pressures increase and life can become miserable and unbearable under the weight.

The bank can and will forgive you of your debts. You first have to realize that the bank and banker is within you, it is The Greater You, the love of you.

Falling out of balance in terms of positives and negatives works like this. Negatives are voids in need of being filled. They create pulls from the positive. Negatives cry out for positives to fill their emptiness. You experience fulfillment when you stop creating negatives to be filled.

Negatives create downward pulls on the positives. If you balance out the good and the bad with the 50 50 scale, you end up with a negative pull draining your positive, throwing you off balance in the process and leaving you with Zero positive power to build your reality with.

Like a bank account, what can you add to your life with zero or negative dollars in it? NOTHING. You have to beg, borrow, or steal to have power to use and create a false net worth with.

Think of the power of money like the power of love. It's a credit. Fear is a debit and love is a credit. People fear falling into debt without ever realizing that all they have to do is stop creating negatives to fall into. stop creating negatives that will pull at you like gravity making you feel like you have to keep balance in the first place.

What use is it if you can balance out your check book if its left with a ZERO or negative balance? You're in trouble if the balance is 0 or in the negatives. There is no power in balancing yin and yang itself. Power itself is balanced. What matters is having a positive net worth.

There is no Power to live, build or create with in a personal account that balances out to zero or in the negatives. Balance is not what you are after. feeling in a need for it is just a sign we are in the feeling fear of falling into all of the negative holes we have created which are pulling down on us.

You quit creating them by quiting seeing them, thinking them, and feeling them. Only our acknowledgment of them brings them to life. The love within fills those holes and voids as it goes out before us before we even get to them.

You develop a way of life, that sees the good and positive in all things. Start accolading it and appreciating it everywhere you see positive. Infuse everything that crosses your path with your love. Open yourself up to receive the loving view of the world from the lover within.

Fill the negs with positives and quit making negatives and you will know the inherent balance of nature and feel no need to get or be balanced. It's a call for more LOVE in your life, from you to you, from you to others and from others to you. It's trifold system-you to you, you to others, and others to you. Love is all inclusive giving and receiving of itself an  expansive building of itself, upon itself from inwards moving outwards it grows and sows and reaps its own reward of being.

Well it's not exclusively feminine, but I feel that when I am in the moment and listening to the world around me nothing is lacking. If the feminine is what you need to find then you will find it there, and also if you needed to find masculinity it would be there as well. To my own personal bias nature seems like a strong, gentle, mysterious and silent woman. I guess I don't really feel the wildness, just the steady presence that seems to underly it. It's not female in a hyper-emotional overt way, but in it's grace and elegance.

I'm having a hard time putting what I mean into words. At the risk of being really vauge I'd say that the moment provides you whatever you need. To connect all you need to do is be aware of what is in front of you. Whatever is missing you can find it right here and now.

The universe has no sides, it it omnipresent, without center for everything that is IS the center. But since we are talking dichotomies (sp?) here, I too suggest Kali, or Maha-Kali, Kali, the Cause of Time and Energy of Wisdom, and present a yantra for contemplation.
There is too, Earth Mother, a very primal Feminine Form, who resides beneath our feet and within ourselves.

To me, there are 'negative' and 'positive' aspects to both the masculine and feminine sides. I use the words 'negative' and 'positive' for the sake of description as polarities and should be taken metaphorically and not quite so literally. In fact don't take anything I say literally :smirk:

On Earth at this time, and for the past several hundred thousand years.. the masculine forces on this planet have been.. how shall we say... twisted from their original (true) nature.. and have been abusive and dominating and manipulative towards the Earth and the feminine forces of nature. This has caused major disturbances in the feminine energy as well. In recent times, we have seen female 'empowerment' and the female revolution.. in my opinion this is just a preview of what is to come - the return of the goddess and the subsequent balance of male and female energies.

From another perspective.. we have two hemispheres of the brain. It is generally accepted that the left hemisphere is the rational male aspect, while the right hemisphere is the creative and emotinal female aspect. One of the biggest problems with our people is that the hemispheres are out of balance. Some people will 'reside' in one hemisphere almost exlusively. As a society, we have taught each other to block out emotions, half of being human.. this is especially true with males. Major disturbances in the balance and distribution of masculine and feminine energy. Destructive forces. As above, so below.

You see, as spiritual entities temporarily residing in an unfathomably complex biological organism, we have available to us and built in.. both of these aspects. We incarnate as a certain sex, which determines a few things.. but souls are not male or female.. souls are both. We experience physical life as one of two sexes (most of the time..) and generally exude the traits of that sex. However, when the hemispheres of the brain are not in harmony with one another, we are not a "whole" being. A male that is too detached from his emotional feminine aspect is not living up to his full potential as a loving male entity. Likewise, a female that is too detached from the masculine energies is also out of balance.

The key is to harmonize the hemispheres of the brain. This is an internal process. When I relate to the 'positive' aspects of either feminine or masculine energies.. I think of them on a basis of love. When I relate to the 'negative' aspects, I think of them based on fear and control. We must have the positive aspects of both 'sides' in harmony with each other, for unity with ourselves.

The feminine energies have been psychically raped and dominated and oppressed for thousands of years. This has lead to much confusion regarding the original nature of these energies.

The female presence I know, the goddess.. is Earth.. the womb of life. It's the oceans. It is salvia. The moon.

The male presence, is the sun. The universe.

These are the positive aspects of both of these energies, in their purest unadulterated form, from my persepctive.

They don't call it mother nature for no reason. Nature supports and provides for all life. And can also be cruel and unmerciless, if you are not in harmony with it. Nature is very, very ancient, and very wise, and full of divine compassion and understanding and love. But it wont put up with a bunch of bullshit eternally. Eventually nature will strike back if it is abused for too long.

The Earth is our goddess.

Salvia to me is a very feminine energy. The salvia entity, I regard as a very powerful, ancient, feminine force. The force of nature. In it's purest form. Every breakthrough with salvia for me, is a reminder of who I am and what I am supposed to be doing.. or a slap in the face if I am way of course.. exactly what I need. Salvia personifies the female force of nature in my mind.

The positive feminine energies I know.. are creative, loving, emotional, compassionate, and nurturing.

The reason for males and females is that so we may learn from each other and ultimately live together in perfect harmony, at least that is the goal. We are meant to complement each other, not control. That is our nature.

Where do hermaphrodites fit into all of this?

Like spiritual hermaphrodites...

and sexless beings.

You see, I always figured that we all had a male and female side within us. Except my female side was so malnurished I supplemented it by creating the idea that the perfect human was one who was neither male or female...sexless, really.

To remove from myself the "responsiblity" of gender.

is is possible to be totally "sexless?"

I am so heavily attracted to the idea of sexlessness and/or ambiguous sexuality that I created a character for my book like that to explore things.

I feel sexlessness is close to my heart since I have often felt this way. I have never fit the "prototype" of a typical girl...I've always felt like the odd one out. Weird. Yet I wasn't a guy either...so I just kind of started thinking myself as neither male or female. I got very hung up on the idea of everyone being "just people," discounting any gender "stereotypes."

I think this manifested itself in various ways as I was growing up...for instance, when my problems with self mutilation started, the first thing I attacked was my developing breasts. I didn't even know what I was doing at the time. I think I have better insight now.

It is just so hard of me to categorize people, even as "male" or "female." I feel like gender is so twisted in our society that I have no platform from which to launch off of. I began this post about the feminine, but really, I am positive I have no clue about what is genuinely "female" or "male." I don't really trust interpretations of what is male or female because how do I know we haven't all been fed the wrong information over the years based on our ridiculously sick society.

I guess I have to go with my interpretation of God, which is beyond all gender and yet including both. In my head, sexless androgyny is more beautiful then being male or female.

So in the start of this thread I made a big deal about getting to know the feminine. But now I am back where I started to begin with long ago, feeling that we are all just people and it is impossible to try and place categories on what is feminine and what is masculine. I don't know if this view is wrong or not, but it makes the most sense to me.

Right on.. just go with what works for you. You're right, people are just people.. and I think it's pretty cool that you were able to bypass the gender stereotypes that are pounded onto everyone.

a 'spiritual hermaphrodite'.. or sexless being... I would probably just call it a whole or integrated spirit, having both 'sexes' in perfect harmony.

I think we're in for big changes in the near future,.

let go of the warrior... just focus on the peace, no need to get too fancy, but bring back the fantasy, try writing a fantasy story where there is no violence, just magicians, a sorceress maybe, healing a lot of plants, and stuff, maybe there is no conflict at all, just a description of a fun day in some woodsy village, this will help you... the problem with many fantasy stories is the over use of the conflict model, I've always thought, how can this be a fantasy, theres always so many problems coming up haha... it doesn't need to be like that, a story can actually be very entertaining without any real concept or point to it just descriptions, THATS WHAT US WOMEN LIKE!!!

I am a man, but still... feminity is the counter to masculinity... wheras masculinity is power that will stand a constand against opposition, the feminite aspect would be flowing along with life, noticing the emotional side of things rather than the rational... (though reason is infact relative too)..

Feminity is not the equivelant of weakness, but a very different kind of strength... rather than standing against all that is thrown against you, you will rather take the blow and deal with it, rendering it no more a problem... wheras when a masculine unit would crack he would have his world ruined with it..

Atleast this is my opinion.. rendering a balanced maculin and feminin side one able to fight, but handle a loss.

MOTH said:

A lot of it is complete bullshit like Xena or Ronda Rousey, athlete of the year, gets ktfo + cries on national tv + needs her bfs babies LOL

The disconnect could be personal. It could be a lack of masculinity you are unfamiliar with which is more of what I am sensing. Now a days, there is this push for gender neutrality even if you acknowledge from the perspective of ego that is all convention regardless. The problem I see in society is that, there is so much gender neutrality and it kills relationships.

The push for women in the workforce, women chasing careers, running up massive student loans when her deepest desire for a lot of women is having kids but, squandering her best years riding pole of players who will not give her those things she desire is ridiculous.

I think you should look at reading the works of David Dedia. You can download the book, Way of the Superior Man. Forget the title or the patriarchy and any sort of feminist jargon. The emphasis pushes the masculine and feminine relationship. You mention not knowing or connecting with the feminine but if I were to guess, I sense it is a lack of masculine presence. I am not even speaking from the sense of bravado or posturing. That book will changer your life and you rip a pdf free just search online. I read it a few times a year. Find purpose in your life. This is your place of origin. relationships come and go. You are grounded with purpose and meaning, lets say your writing. If you want to connect with the feminine, connect first with your masculine. Even a feminine woman can do the same. What we are seeing more in society is feminine woman acting masculine and mental health following when years of carousel 2.0 coming to a crashing end and prime baby making years have been squandered forever.

David Deida will change your life. Keep it simple. You want to connect with the feminine? Connect with the masculine first. It is polarizing to the feminine. If two people are masculine, it will depolarize the relationship as will two feminine people. In gender neutral relationships, the masculine acting in a feminine manner is a swift way to push a feminine woman into the arms of another man. This doesn't excuse the behavior but the group dynamics is important.

Connect with your masculine side. Decisiveness is a attractive manner. It is polarizing. Asking a woman out versus telling her when you are picking her up. Having a purpose that takes precedence overall things in your life is again polarizing. The sky could fall tomorrow and I will be following my path in life giving my gifts along the journey. Playing it safe, being beta, walking on egg shells, and being adverse to competition is far from masculine. Ironically enough, a variety of men operate this way based upon social conditioning, a society that demonizes men and preaches misandry, and everyone loses in this predicament.

If you fail to live at your edge on your hero's journey, you sell yourself and your woman short. The feminine will not trust nor confide in you. How can she? You are not a just and up right man.
