I once had a trip at a friends house, that was absolutely great in the first half. Then I dont know what happend, but somehow I got in a bad trip, thinking I had died/was going to die, I knew how (some accident) and I felt all the pain and shit. I also was totally counfused, and actually even thought I was a femalie. After the trip I figured out it was probably some stuff from my past life or something. But the second time I tripped their, at the beginning, someone told (more in a sarcastic way) that a girl had taken a ghost to this house that fucked with the cd player and stuff. It was female spirit. I told about the bad trip, and we stopped thinking about it, and I tried to get rid of the negative vibe asking not to bother me in the trip. It seemed to have worked, since the trip was fun all along. I dont know how she died, but Im surely gonna ask to find out if it was this spirit But if your gonna trip in a real hounted house, I dont recomment it, certenly do not do it with full moon (I know this sounds silly) couse spirits are the strongest then (ive experienced this also) Your mind it opened up during tripping, so that makes it very easy to be misused by spirits.

I wouldn't say this for sure, so don't bother trying to convince me there are spirits and whatnot... But I bet 9 times out of 10 if you put someone in a "haunted" house and didn't tell them about it being haunted, they would trip just fine. Then bring them back, tell them some scary stories... I bet it's mostly power of suggestion, at least in most cases. I wouldn't say that for ALL cases, that's too broad a statement, but just because it's true in some cases doesn't mean it's true in all cases. So, I'm betting on power of suggestion. (Very powerful, although somewhat less glamorous.)

Tripping in that house would probably be too much to handle. It wouldn't be like how it was when you were stoned. I can't imagine how nothing would happen all night.

I don't think tripping in a haunted house would necessarily be an issue. Typically, I've found that tripping in seemingly frightening places is often totally unfrightening. For instance, I've tripped in bear-infested woods and shark infested waters before. When sober, both of these places make me slightly nervous despite the fact that any risk of physical harm is quite minimal. When tripping, however, I found myself utterly unafraid. I had expected some amount of nervousness, but it evaporated rapidly. Concerns like ghosts, sharks, and bears seem trifling and meaningless to me while I'm tripping---something dumb to think about when you're sober, but nothing of any concern when you're tripping.

How true. Sometimes. Other times the pant shitting aspect as someone so eloquantly called it is a definate issue.

That's an interesting point - maybe while tripping i would not have cared - its true that often things that concern you sober - like moving cars or urinating in public - seem trivial when tripping. Now, what the other guy said about suggestion, id have to agrue with - im sure that suggestion makes people more open to noticing the abnormal shite that was going on in this flat, so we conducted a sort of experiment where three of my friends came and stayed the night having been told of our experiences - naturally they all had their own experiences and 2 sceptics were sceptic no-longer. Then my flatmate let two of his friends stay for a while with no mention of the goings on - i was sleeping at a friends house at this stage. Afetr two nights no a word from either of them to mark, but on the third morning one asked mark why he was banging around all night long an walking into all the rooms where they were sleeping, the other got constant hassles from knocking on walls that kept him awake all night. Two days later, one of the guys realised that the person walking into the rooms was 'invisible' and freaked out completely - 'what the fuck? theres someone i cant see walking around your flat man!!'

I know the feeling. I've lived in more than one haunted house. I've heard the voices calling my name and even worse, I'd see a damn ghost standing in front of my bedroom window every night in the one house. Damn freaky shit.

Assuming ghosts exists and that your experience is of an actual ghost and not the delusions of a drug battered brain then.....I would try to communicate with the ghosts. I would invite them on my journey with me (i assume ghosts being non-physical could travel anywhere in the space time continum that they cared to go). Perhaps if they are with you in that moment of ego death when you enter the void/source they would choose to stay there rather than return to their pitiful half-existance in that house on the physical plane.

well when I'm on mushrooms if I'm in complete silence, wherever I am seems haunted so I don't know if I'd notice anything strange.....
ANYWAY, I don't believe in haunted houses - if anybody's near Los Angeles and knows of some type of "haunted house" that we'd be able to somehow trip in, lets do it - I think its BS and would love to be proven wrong (by fuckin real spirits or something, not some asshole making noises to fuck with me )

The reality of ghosts for me is not an issue, because I have experienced them myself, and there are SOOOO many people who have had similar experiences to myself and who have never partaken in mind-altering substances. The fact that this last post is saying that 'ghosts are bullshit' exhibits the ignorant attitute of the mindless, un-questioning sheep-like television-educated masses that is quite at odds with the opening of perception and the spirituallity of mushroom use itself. Can you prove that ghosts dont exist? I can prove that they do by sourcing electro-magnetic studies of known haunted houses that demonstrate huge irregularities. By saying ghosts are bullshit you are saying that either I am insane or I am lying. Why would I lie? What would I and countless others have to gain from lying? The idea is stupid. My friend wanted to 'communicate' with the spirit until he actually stayed the night in the house and realised that it was dictating the direction of the communication and not the other way around. The general vibe that accompanied this experiences was very unpleasent - it did not seem like a calm or talkative entity - more panic, fear and dread were experienced by most of us.

I wasn't sure about ghosts... until a couple of months ago when I saw one. I'm usually very good at being able to understand my enviornment, and why things happen (physical happenings, not why god lets bad things happen ) but what I saw is one thing I should be able to explain... but I don't understand it.

I could make a believer out of you if you have a night to spare and don't mind a rather pointless trip to northern Utah. I can pretty much promise you'll see something difficult to explain. If you have that "aww... he could've done this or this or the other to fake it and blah blah blah..." attitude then nobody can help ya anyway. Just have an open mind.

umm... i went to a "haunted house" after my peak on 2.5g's, kids said it was haunted and that you heard voices and the temperature would drop alot.. and there's blood on the walls, etc. well i decided to go inside the house tripping. while i was in there the mushies gave me the mindset of "i can see what is real or not" so i realized that the kids were just messing around... while the other people i was with thought they heard stuff and got really scared.

I used to live in a huanted house too when I was younger. It wasn't a bad huanting, but it was scarey. It would come and go... sometime stuff would happen every day and night for weeks at a time, then nothing would happen for months or years. I guess a guy hung himself before my parents bought it... my parents didn't tell me until we moved out... so they just made me believe I was going crazy for 19 years of my life. Light's would turn on by themself, bedrooms and bathroom doors would lock from the inside when no one was in them. One of my mom's little figurines in her currio cabinet would always be turned around... she'd face it the right way and then an hour later it would be backwards again. Of course she always blamed me! The scariest thing that happened, which happend on more then a few occasions, I would wake up in the middle of the night just utterly scared out of my wits. I felt like someone was standing right over me, looking at me. I couldn't move, scream, or anything. I just had to lay there scared shitless for what seemed like hours, but was probably 5 or 6 minutes. When it finally passed I would get up and run our of my room and go sleep in my parents room or something. When I was old enough and had a car, I would just run out of the house and go sleep in my car. I think Imight have seen the ghost once. I was sitting in my finished basement watching TV. In this little living area we had set up we had like 10 mirror pannels mounted on the walls going around the room. I was home alone and I was just sitting back watching the tube when out of the corner of my eye, through the mirror, I seen someone walk by really fast. I jumped up and looked around but didn't see anyone. So I sat back down and started watch tv again. This time, out of the corner of my eye, I seen a figure just standing there watching me. I didn't move. I felt like I did when I woke up in the middle of the night frozen scared. After a minute or two I glanced over to where he should have been standing but no one was there. I just got up and left and went to a friends house. Anyhow, back then I didn't do any drugs. If I did, I don't think I would do any in my house. Maybe if I had like 5 or 6 buddies with me or something. Could you imagine if you ate shrooms and then it actually became possible for you to see ghosts in your house. Seriously... I don't even think I could predict my reaction if I seen a ghost while tripping.

omg this thread is so freaky! i'm becoming afraid just reading it.
i do believe in ghosts.
my mother has told me of several encounters she has had with ghosts and all are believable. from what i gather, there are spirits who are not aware of our existance in this world, there are spirits who are aware of us and don't wish to harm us, and there are evil spirits who perhaps are spiteful because of the state they are in, or for whatever reason, try to frighten us or hurt us or cause pain.
my mum has had visions in one house of a man dressed in a WW1 soldiers uniform standing in her room looking sad. she believed that this man was about to go to war and died in the war, and this was his room when he lived there. this ghost did not acknowledge her presence.
another occassion involved what my mum believed to be her father, in the days following his death (she was quite young at the time). she believes that he came to her and comforted her, while her mother was in the room (who heard and saw nothing, but believed my mother).
another more frightening ghost encounter my mother had was at yet another house in which she lived in while a teenager. she claimed that an evil ghost/presence would enter her room during the night, she wouldnt see him but knew he was there... each time this happened she would be pinned to her bed, unable to move or speak, and felt a great weight upon her legs. on many occassions she recieved bruising from this! her mother took an iron knife and placed it under her pillow and the ghost never returned again (my mother is australian born chinese. apparently the iron knife thing is a way to ward off evil spirits).
hey, theres some stories straight from my mothers mouth. believe it or not, it's your decision.
it's scary stuff!! i'm going to hide under my bedsheets tonight!
jimbu.
