What is a Drug?

I have been thinking about what is a drug and what isn't a drug. Drugs feed your ego, the temptation center. Some thing's I consider drugs, and some i consider medicine and some both. I think marijuana is definetely a drug (unless you truly need it as medicine), while mushrooms, or non-distilled alcohol are not. All things can be used as a drug, but only something can be used without becoming a drug. For instance drinking a few beers with some friends, or taking mushrooms to help unleash your creative spirit is very different than getting drunk to solve your problems, or taking mushrooms (hallucinogens) to get fucked up and and hallucinate.

I agree with that definition.
Many, many things can be a drug.

Reality is a drug.
I disagree. I consider reality everything that is real. Think of reality as a cave. There is only one true, direct route out of the cave, this is the path to truth (enlightenment) . There are also infinite passages that lead you off that path. They tempt you with false hopes of a better place, a safer place, a place of belonging. We can call these paths illusions (drugs), although they all can offer something real if you know how to utilize them. They seem like new realities, and they always appear better and better the farther you go down them, until you reach a hell of sorts, and there is no way out of this hell, until you acknowledge that it is only an illusion, and when you do, you will find yourself back on the path to truth. Some of the illusion paths are easier to get off than others, and if you gather what they have to offer, and then return to the true passage, you can reap the benefits of these paths, for all illusions have some truth in them. Certain things can help keep you on the right path. Aiding others travelers on the path, playing music, or meditating are all instances of this. A truly balanced man always stays on the reality path, and in doing so, he reaches the end of the path, enlightenment. Once a man is enlightened, he must return to reality, and stay on the path, aiding other travelers in need. That's my worldview, and im sticking to it

Sex can become a drug, but it is also the essence of all life.

not only pharmacologicaly, its also true that everything u expose yourself to has an effect on your perception of the world around you.
even goin from a diet that includes meat to a vegitarian diet has a significant effect on your disposition.
the levels of sunlight seem to be have a direct influence on culture. the warmer it gets, the more outgoing people are, the colder the more introvert they are.
also look at what depreving people of their sexuality does to funamentalist christians...
everything has an effect on your emotional and mental disposition to the world at large...

The colder it gets, the less amount of sunlight you receive, thus your body conditioning itself to release more melatonin. Melatonin makes you more relaxed, more sleepy. This is not a drug.
This is, however: --- ---
Sex is not a drug either, the endorphins are released naturally. A drug is presenting your body with a substance that is not already inside it, or not in the same amount.
