The Thissle Incident_

I recently went to a pet food store and asked for some finch seed. The person came back with a clear bag of long grain looking black seeds. He asured me it was finch. I proceded to boil the "finch" seed for 15 minutes and strain then fill pint 4 pint jars. I sterilized them by boiling in a pan for 1 hour, 10 minutes. After fully cooled in the fridge, i inoculated 3 with pan cyan spores and one with pan cyan mycelium water. The next day my friend kindly notified me that it wasnt finch seed, rather. it was Thissle. Now 4 days later, there is no growth.

Has anyone successfully germinated thissle with a pan or is it possible??

I've never used thistle seed...but 4 days isn't that long...keep those guys warm (read last week's post on temps.)...and hope for the best...Good Luck!!!

I don't know if thistle will colonize but what i can asure you is that pan cyans germination can be somewhat long (sometimes it can take 2 or 3 weeks).

I just did a search...THISTLE...(all forums/all posts) from what I can gather, it should work...but read for yourself...
