WEll I found about a half a pound of fresh shrooms this morning in West Seattle. Here is just one image from my scanner of a few specimens.

As always nice find...and so late in the season. I will have to make my way to the PNW sometime. By the way did you have a look at the possible P. caerulipes, and the Gyms I posted...would appreciate your feedback...cheers.

i found a few cyans last saturday in the seattle area. odd that the post time preceeds the subject date.

Sorry about the date. It was the morning of the 19th. Sometimes I do not know the nyumber of the day although (I know the name of the day. Anyway they are still coming up. There were a few hundred growing and about the same in one inch high pinners which I left so that I can pick them on Christmas Day. mj\ And yes St. Thomas. I still think you have a variation of Psilocybe quebecensis. The reason I doubt that it is P. caerulipes is that that [particular mushrooms grows in Ohio, Michigan, Southern Ontario and along the East Coastline of America. It only has been knpown to fruit in June and July, not in the late fall which means that it is definately not P. caerulipes. I also might suggest that you send me a print and one or two dried specimens and I can have that cleared up for you within thirty days. It could even be a new species if it is not P. quebecensis.
