Questions about finding, please help :)

So, y'all saw my pics from a week ago about my first find (cyans--all this info refers to them). Nobody else goes to this place, just trust me. I have since gone back to find more, but there dont seem to be any growing (this is the sf bay area, and according to an 'expert' i talked to at the fungus fair last weekend, this should be just the beginning of the season for this area, no?).

It has rained a couple times this week, with a day or so in between with 'dry' weather. I was wondering how long i should wait since last rain, what weather pattern i should be looking for, and if there is even a chance that the little patch (15 mushrooms) that i found would fruit again under such conditions. Also, is there a good time of day to look? (yes, im that new)

If anyone can answer these questions i would be much appreciative. Thanks much!

PS, if anyone in the SF area has a spot that they are willing to share, please pm me. im not greedy, so i wont 'rape' the spot...but this part isnt a necessity...

I would imagine they like the same conditions there that they do in the PNW--LOTS of rain, and cooler temperatures. Keep watching your known patch, but by all means look for others with similar mulch & shrubbery. Best time of day--probably early morning, before someone else finds 'em! Plenty of folks are out looking; the early bird gets the shrooms.

cool, so they come up even when it IS raining? For some reason i thought that it took a few days of dry weather before they would show themselves.
