i know this has nothing to do with shroomery but i want to post some pics of my setup and there too big.. is there some kind of jpg compressor? there already jpg. Thanks

Yeah,I tried uploading some pics to the gallery,but it doesn't accept jpeg.Every other site does.Bummer.

You can use any one of a number of programs. Do you have Windows? LOL! Then use "Paint". Just resize the pics to a smaller size. Or "Photoshop", or LViewPro.

ok i got a program that works pretty well from download.com. its called irfanview. All yall who having the same probs as me check it out. resize your piks and theyll be smaller. Thanks luvdemshrooms

I obviously wasn't as clear as I could have been. You already had the ability to do it using "Paint." It comes with Windows. You might like the program you found better though. Try them both and see.
Start/Programs/ Accessories/Paint, then File/Open/"yourfilename/Image/Attributes.... Then go ahead and enter the new size. Try to keep the ratio the same.

yeah i tried to open it in paint and it errored. saying it wasnt a valid bitmap. i tried everything and it wouldnt work. the program i got tho is awesome. can resize and clear everything up pretty good. Thanks for your help

Depends on which windows version you?re using paint hasn?t the ability to handle .jpg.
In this case IrfanView, which is freeware, is an excelent choice for these kinds of jobs.

I use PaintShop Pro, it's shareware and can handle many known formats. The thing about PSP is that it lets you choose the jpg compresion level when you save it, there's an "option" button on the "save as" dialog box, click it and you'll see a slider where you can choose more quality (bigger file) or less quality (smaller size). This lets you have a big pic with less quality but also with less size.

PSP is not shareware....lolz
Paint Shop Pro is all over the net for free....but that doesn't make it shareware.
I have been using PSP for over 6 years now. Great program, easy to use....and easy to get for free....lol
JASC software makes PSP.
If anyone would like a registered version you can get one at FOSI's page.
It's so called free 7.2 version....no crak.

I think PSP had shareware versions up to version 4, i use it since version 2 and i stayed in version 5 (it suits my needs), version 5 and above has locked 30 days evaluation(trial) version and unlocked full comercial version to download. It is not free, well .. it is if you crack it or download an allready cracked version wich makes it registered, if this is your meaning for free, then mine is free also.
Yes it is very easy to use and very light, the best if you want to do simple and fast image editing and handling.

Sorry me, when i read my previous post again it sounded a bit harsh, it wasn't that my intention.
Yeap, dialup sucks, i have it at home and i don't use it so often, using frame relay from work tough.
