I innoculated some jars 3 days ago, right now i have dime to quarter sized mycelium patches but there all blue (i noticed a day ago and let it sit to make sure it wasnt a contaim, its defeinetly blue, and its only where myc. has grown so i dont belive they are contaminated.) As the cake shrinks this should clear up right? Or is there anything i should do to help my little buddies out? i searched around here and only found info about stalling cakes and blueing. But im sure ive seen this question before. Sorry for re-asking =)

from my experince i think these cakes are a little too moist. most blueing on cakes is caused from excess water. but thats just my opinion

Foaf had some jars , with dime size or larger patches at the bottom at point of inculation , he let his jars set for four days before inculating and no contams . Three days after inculation he noticed the blueing on the mycelium , sure enough it was contam , it just seems unlikely the mycellium would be bluing like that so early in the game . He had a bad print , plus just because you waited to inculate dosent meen its not contam something could have happend when you inculated . Could be wrong though ,hope so anyway .

Maybey try taking a few jars and taking the tape off once there 50% colonized and loosen the lids abit for a few days that should dry em up a bit , could invite contams but at 50% they should fight it off...
