possibly cyans?

I was out in my backyard (North Seattle, Washington) and noticed these little guys popping up and wondered what they could be.



growing on top of some wood chips


Ill go check for bruising and run a spore print.

I hunt for Cyans in Humboldt County and I am pretty darn sure those are definately Cyans, 99% sure cant be 100% sure because i am no damn mycologist but thats them.

Definately give an update with the spore print and bruising.. should be a purple/brown spore print and the mushrooms should bruise blue alot around the edge of the cap and the stem.

Oh ya and like he said ^^^ definately wait for a pro to drop a post so you can be 100% sure. :smile:

From my first impression from the photos, they resemble Ps. cyanescens.

Yeah the print came out a heavy purple/brown and blued strong when bruised. Thanks for the help

I can't give a positive ID off that but it does look about right and is that an aborted blue pin in the lower left?

I think he just meant because they were wee little ones (which I haven't picked)but it's funny @cro you noticed that little blue pin, I only did when I came back to the spot and it was almost entirely blue heres a pic of it (much of what looks like dirt is bluing)
