You don't expect people to do any legwork themselves, do you?
But you're right, back when I grew, I must've done AT LEAST 75-100 hours of reading before I asked a single question on ADM. But then again, I'm the type of person who would rather try to learn something on my own.

thats exactly the same thing i did. on my spare time for like 6 months (before i came a member) every day i would read old threads. 2-4 hours a day. i like to read about experiments and shit like that. not answer the same stupid questions everyday

You all actually expect people to read? LOL!!
Maybe if everyone responded to the same old questions with a simple answer, such as.... Use the search button... people might get the idea. Probably not though.

Its always good to get a fresh answer from time to time. People come and go here and some of the new folks might have something new and useful to add to the "same old thread" If you dont want to read it dont click on it.

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that EVERYONE has a success or failure story to share, so there is a lot of conflicting testimony in the threads...I read these posts and old threads on average of 2-3 hours per day and I still have questions...I like to hear about current success stories and get new perspectives and ideas...That's the essence of these forums in the first place...If it's a question you've already read 1000 times...DON'T READ IT!!!
Maybe...you're more advanced and you should read another forum, where you're not the expert...as for us NEWBIES...I think we should all be encouraged to read more, and attempt to answer our own questions...we should also be encouraged to ask as many questions as we need to...it's what keeps these forums going...We SHOULD be discouraged from just asking a question because we're too lazy to look up the answer!!!
But...Since this is a learning environment, our teachers and fellow students should practice some patience when answering questions...SOMETIIMES...DO A SEARCH is the right answer, sometimes doing a search causes more confusion...Be a mentor...
