germination of pans

has anyone found pans difficult to get to germinate
ive tried doing a bit of agar and i still have anything yet to germinate i thought i had some very fast growning mycelium...turned out to be cobweb but ive done another 4 and its been 3 weeks and there is nothing....ive tried innoculating straight whole grain and that dint work and i tried to innoculate cow dung based substrate and that also failed to germinate but after a while i got a bacterial contamin the dung jars and all the jars of substrate are a little less than a month old

ive had a lotof bad luck with germianting pans in a manure medium taht dried out by the time they showed life... - i think i have a better print now though

sorry if thats a little confusing - i had five cakes originally and only one are out of five innoculation points on each cake showed any germination after twoand a half weeks and by that time they had all dried out...I read somewhere that the moisture content had to be lower for pans, but this doesnt seem true - my second try again with the same water ratio as PF style cakes went much better - still i think i need to use the better print i got from Dimitri to start another batch

thank you much the help is appreciated...ill probably try to acquire a syringe instead of a print this time to try to eliminate the possibility of me screwing the syringe up
