as far as preperation is concerned
brf is a pain in the ass. wbs is a breeze.
my mans didnt even break a sweat with the wbs. he would have to say its much much easier to work with than brf.

I did my first grow with BRF and hated it. I've used WBS ever since and never looked back.

I currently have two grains colonizing: WBS, and whole brown rice with Quinoa. They were both inoculated with Koh Samui from Spores101, and they have both fully colonized within ten days. I can't tell you about the fruits yet, but I plan to keep you posted. All I can say is I was surprised by the vigor of colonization with the Whole Brown Rice/ Quinoa.

i hated brf cakes contam sucked for some reason but WBS rules except for the smell, rye isn't that bad either but what i found is that a mixture of 60%WBS 30% verm and 10% BRF kicks ass if any of the seeds explode the verm soaks that right up.

actually it seems the consensus that wbs does not produce great results when fruited straight out; this is in regards to potency and yields. it's practical application is as spawn to a larger amount of pasteurized substrate, (Hpoo if you ask me).

well, if you were to case the wbs cakes as opposed to just growin straight cake, i would assume you MIGHT get better results with the wbs vs brf?
im not saying it would, im asking if it would

no experience with this, (cus i like to learn from others') but the only benefit you would have in fruiting straight wbs is the fact that it is more plentiful. more substrate=bigger fruits casing increases your yields, but not as dramatically as everyone expects.
if you want some shocking results, try and use some hpoo. if you're concerned about smell, pasteurization, mess, etc. then get yourself some pre-pasteurized substrate. it is as easy as it gets.
