bad pinning???

Please help......... I have inoculated compost in aqariums with about two inches of the 50/50 caisng mixture on top. I let it run for 6 days into the casing and sprayed very lightly and patched the casing for the first five days. After the sixth day I dropped the temp from 86` to 74` stopped spraying for the pin set and added fresh air. On the seventh day I hooked up a hose going into the tank from a Sunbeam humidifyer to get the humidity high. Its been 5 days now and the only place where there are pins growing into mushrooms are around the sides?! Are there pins underneath the casing that I dont see? Is 5 days still early in the pinning process. When I dropped the temp in the tank there was mycelieum visible in a quite a few spots in the casing. Do the pins grow from the spots that are exposed on top of the casing or underneath??? Confused???????

The mycelia isn't getting air, except on the sides. Two inches of casing is too thick.

I thought you didn't want the myc to get air for the first little while then when it is run through you expose it to air?
