Read up on whatever strain you choose and find out all possible phenotypes that could come out of that seed...you'll want to be able to identify and keep the heaviest/most potent yielder before flowering and make it the mother.

You could have the best strain in the world but if you dont have the proper lights & equipment your not going to get the results you want.
Like having 50,000 watts of subwoofers powered by a 100 watt amp.

yup, unless your an experianced grower with a well developed system your not gonna get the max yield, and in the beginner situation youll end up with prettymuch the same average yields regardless of wich plant u grow.
i think your better off orienting your choice towards what is more suitable for your setup...

Well, the problem is... Nearly any strain of marijuana can be a great bud if its grown/manicured/dryed/cured properly. It also depends on what kind of "High" you want. If you want a stonned out lazy high, Get a pure Indica strain. If you want a crazy-hyper thinking cereberal buzz high, Go with a pure Sativa.
go Here and learn as much as you can about growing. Erowids da sheet

So basically you are saying if I go out and find me a nice hemp plant thats female and grow it in perfect condition and dry and manicure the buds properly I will have nice good dense potent weed?? I think NOT. A LOT of potency IS affected by genetics, simpleas that. BUT you can get some bag seed that doesnt look all that good and still grow dank weed. That was in the plants genetics to begin with, the original grower just wasn't paying close attention or didnt care about potency. Every bag seed my friend ever grew out looked better then the bud it came from.

yeah genetics are a major factor in potency. along with if the bud has been pollinated or not, and the plant puts energy into seeds instead of trichomes. also growing environment, fert methods, and drying/curing.

id fucking love to get ahold of some stawberry cough!
ecsd = some form of sour diesel..?
High Potency Weed Suggestions anything by BOG (Bogbubble, Lifesaver, Sour Bubble, etc) AK47 Cinderella99 Blueberry Northern Lights White Widow White Russian G13 NYCD Haze (Super Silver Haze, Nevilles, etc) Kush (Hindu, OG, Bubba, etc) and of course alot more...
bagseed should be good for a first grow tho. good luck.

Genetics dont generaly mean Sheet man. If you want " Hardcore dense buds" Grow some indica. Believe it or not, genetics is the least attributing factor to potency. It mainly depends on how the plant does in its flowering stage. Yeild mainly lies in its vegatative growth stage. I've grown a lot of pot, And in personal experience... Strain doesent really matter all that much. As i said before, as long as its grown right, you're guarenteed to get good bud. Heres my lovly seedling bed

I only grow strains that are more then 75% Indica because, I dont have a lot of room in my setup, And...Fluffly weed disgusts me, Yes, even haze. It just burns too damn fast

Go buy some hemp seeds from mexico and grow it out. Then go buy some quality genetics and grow THAT out. Grow the hemp in the best environment possible, GREAT lighting GREAT nutes GREAT ventilation GREAT EVERYTHING! HPS/MH AND ALL. Now grow the quality genetics under some fluoros with shitty ventilation shitty nutes but still make sure they live to flower and finish. and you come back here and tell me and all of us here that genetics do NOT matter. you would get SHITTY HEMP weed from the hemp seeds NOTHING more!!! You would get dank weed from the quality genetics even with that shitty environment. Granted yield will be affected along with some potency loss...but still.....yeah...
