Last week some kid ate some mushrooms in one of the dorms at my school. Happens all the time I'm sure. But this kid managed to hurt him self badly enough that the cops were called so this kid could get some medical attention.
I don't really know too many details, but appearently the kid freaked the fuck out. What I do know: He bit a cop. He was spitting blood at the cops. They were trying to strap him to a gurney and he wasn't in the mood. the cops ended up Tazing the kid. Now some of the kids who watched this shit go down are saying it was excessive force.
Crazy.
Could you imagine being tazed by the police while you were having a bad trip? Wow.

yi man. Last year when I moved in as a freshman the first week some kid took shrooms and went crazy. He started smashing all his roomates items and the cops came. Dunno if id take alot in a dorm, too many risks. Fire alarms, police, Ra's, etc..

Dorms are nuts, and a terrible place to trip.
I remember when I took 2 hits of acid and some drunk kid kicked a glass bottle and it hit off the wall and right into my head when I was peaking.
I tend to not like drunk people when I am tripping either which is hard to avoid in a dorm on a friday night

Some of my most awakened trips have began and finished in the dorms at UC Santa Barbara and Santa Cruz. But indeed, there is much room for improvement over that setting unless you are very capable of maintaining comfort in the face of confusion, the unknown, and even adversity

y dont people read a tiny bit first? first time i ate mushrooms i read a bunch of stuff from erowid + shroomery, i didnt read details, but i got the jist outta it... have a strong clear mind going in, and dont be afraid to tell your self (both mentally and out loud) that your just tripping, it will go away eventually, so enjoy the experience while it lasts... whenever my trip started to stray towards the dark side, thoughts of never coming down, craziness, paralysis, etc... i just told myself i ate mushrooms, smiled, hugged a friend, and listened to some tunes... best piece of advice ever. DONT BE AFRAID, THEYRE JUST MUSHROOMS. u may not be in control of the trip, but you are always in control of your mind (to an extent). people need to be aware that alls it takes is some rational thinking and youll realize that your trip is more fun than scary

Tripping in the dorms isn't too bad if you have a single and you're in dorms with mostly upperclassmen and graduate students.

yeah tripping in dorms was ok, kind of an institutional environment, but I had lots of posters, lights, etc. that made it more like home. One time I took HBWR and some kid sprayed the fire alarm with water extinguisher at like four in the morning, it took them over two hours to fix it and it was freezing, that really sucked.

I found an article in the newspaper about what happened. Appearently the way he hurt himself in the first place was to fall THREE STORIES on to a bike rack!!!!
And he wasn't responding to the tazes so they did it 10 times before he was finally subdued. The whole event took around 30 minutes.
Surprisingly the cops didn't arreset him, but he did get 2 quasrters of accademic probation (can't go to school).

ive tripped in the dorms many times.... chilled outside of the dorms smoking cigarrettes and talking to people... one of my best trips with my roommate...
