Learning how to cook
    #4926832 - 11/12/05 07:52 PM (18 years, 2 months ago)

I cant say ive ever posted in this forum before! so here goes:

im 20 and in the process of becomming conscious have become rather aware of what im putting into my body. Not in the sense that i know much about nutrition, but more in the realization that margarine is bad, and animals perhaps contain karma.

anyways, im on the "freegan" path, but hardly know how to feed myself. I live in a great house with communal meals and great cooks - but i find myself doing dishes and cutting spuds. Id like to be an innovative and understanding cook and hardly know how to learn, besides the bits and pieces i pick up from my roommates.

So uh... discuss; learning how to cook./eat well.

watch food tv.

a lot of those cooks can show you good technique
and smart tips.

other than that, find a recipe you like and try
to make it...then it's just like gabba said...

trial and error.

pretty soon you'll learn how to recover the crap
you've cooked.
