you'd have to add cannabutter or oil to the brew, so i'm not sure it would work too well... there aren't any fat-soluable ingredients in beer, as far as i know.

as for mushroom beer, i guess it would conceivably work (unless the fermentation process would break down the psilocybin?) but it would probably taste like ass.

What about a bud or mushroom tinciture. Both are alchohol saluble

i recently read an article about 9000 old beer. some scientist did a chromograph thing of some old pottery that was dated to 9000 yrs old and found in china. long story short, the chinese used to add fungi culture to their brew. culture being what we call mycelium today. so why not get some nice cubensis or pan cyan mycelium and use that as part of the brew. remember heat over 150f degrees will break down the psilocybin and psilocin. i agree with the SHEIK, get some ethanol and just extract some psilocybin and add it to the finished brew.

Weed is Oil / Alcohol Soluable so if you steep a qp wraped in cheese cloth in a fermented wort for a week, you can extract a good amount of THC..

This isnt the best way to extract because you need a higher alcohol content sooo you can steep the weed for a week in wine and make a berry flavored brew. 

Back in the day I used to make a rasberry flavored bud brew...

These days nobody has any poor quality weed that I would do this with.... :frown:

I would bet that adding a tincture of pot would add a funny taste to the beer. Especially if it were grain alcohol. I would think the best way to add THC to beer would be to dry hop it. (Or is that dry-pot it).

I have a good recipe for cannabis liquer I could dig up, if you'd like, but there's no real breing involved.

I just finished bottling some honey cider (cyser). I plan on doing a high gravity mead next.

Listen close boys, this is tried & true.....

Take 2 oz of left over shake, ( you don't need to remove the seeds ), put it in one of those quart size chineese plastic containers for soup, cover the organic material desired for extraction with "everclear" to a 1/2 inch from the top. seal with the plastic lid, agitate, place in frig for a week, agitate often. Now you can add this mixture into any 5 gallon recipe when you add the yeast. Not that it has anything to do with the yeast but you would want to add it when the temp is low enough to add your yeast.

comes to .07 grams per 12 oz bottle, if i remember correct, i never made it past 3 bottles.

It has an herbal taste, yet not unpleasent, folks said it had a hint of jagermister about it, because jager is made with herbs as well. It definately was a robust full flavor, but most home brewed ale is.

Forced Registration's Cannabis Liqueur

-1 ounce of fine organic cannabis buds in 500ml of organic cream for 30 mins
-Strain into 26 oz bottle
-Add 1/4 cup sugar, 5 ml vanilla extract, and 3 spoons of instant decaffeinated instant coffee
-Top up with vodka as a preservative
Can be stored for long periods, makes a great christmas gift. Because I use cream, I can achieve a high potency liquid (30ml liqueur = 1 gram of pot).

I'd like to try this recipe myself, but an ounce of buds for a bottle is more bill than I can foot right now. I think I might give it a shot with a fourth of ingredients in a 6 oz bottle.
