I'm wondering if anyone knows of a good/cheap way to make a dessecation chamber? Looks like the fan only gets them so dry.. I've heard of people using epson salt as a dessecant?

Epsom salts are horrible. I tried it, it didnt work. Grab some silica gel. For 10 bucks you can get all you need. Toss that in a cheap sealable container with the mushies and you're all set. Oh, and the silica gel is reusable.

damp-rid is the drying god. blue box i think, at your local (well supplied) grocery store. in the cleaning section, near mr. clean. put some in a tupperware bowl. make a rack out of anything, and set in there for a day or two.

a jar, a tupperware thing, anything sealable. should look like this . <--periods are blank space |................| |................| |....-----|)...| |.-----|)......| |dessicant| |________| you should make a screen or something, anything to keep the mushies above the dessicant. i don't know if you want them sitting in the dessicant, probably not too healthy.

If your cheap, you can get Silica Gel for free. Just go to the shoe store and open up a couple boxes (it comes in those little pouches tucked inside the shoes and says "DO NOT INGEST"), you can also find the shit lying on the floor in shoe stores. It's easier if you know someone that works there, but anyway you get my point.
