Glovebox or Flowhood?

The most important factor to work is the sterility. Which is more sterile, independently of other factors of smaller importance for my. Thank Aleph.

if constructed/used correctly both should be absolutely sterile...

IMHO - A still air - tight - well built - glove box, for many reasons.
If you don't know, or learn the tecniques of working in front of a laminar flow-hood, you can make multiple BOO / Boo's that will cause you greif .

Easier to work in a glow box than in front of a flow hood?! I beg to politely defer.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ I don't see any kind of comparison between the two other than the actual construction and cost involved.
Maybe your reply was in response to Agar's post

A flow hood of optimal design function, purged & operating perfectly is certainly the most comfortable to in front of. As it is like working in open air, except the air is moving slightly.

A glove box can be cumbersome to work in for multiples of reasons. To small, it can be awkward & cramped. You may not be able to get everything in it, you want to work with), in one setting.
If it has thick gloves, you lose finger touch sensitivity & your arms can get hot & sweaty. If the gloves are to short, you cannot reach everywhere inside it.
If the view plate area is to small. Or, you didn't install a light. It can get difficult to see what you are doing.
Generally, a glove box is cheaper to build. But, not always.
If one paid retail, this glove set costs $600
Alternatively, this glove set cost 1 dollar

No, just a glovebox with a fan on it, to create a little bit of positive flow. Of course the fan housing is protected with a HEPA filter so no nasties get in...

IMHO, building a flow type G/B, defeats the purpose of a G/B. Small hepa filters - worth salt - are tough to come by & spendy.

So true! Something I can't reiterate enough!!! A persons sterile culture technique is what they should be concerned with. I myself used only a sealed GB with results for decades and is the first place I go when I want to be 100%. G2G's are much easier in front of a flowhood without a doubt.
-------------------- Getting the most out of your casings!, A pinning strategy. Oyster Shell "Flour" $2 for 1lb. a hell of a deal Not what is overlay but rather what overlay is Gas Exchange vs. FAE "We all have priorities. I used a closet once setup a nice little lab trouble was all the shit that was in there ended up in the bedroom that pissed off the GF then I ended up dumping her as she was getting in the way of my sterile culture technique! Ya I got priorities too!!!"

The idea actually came from another 'shroom' site...
"...the best reason to use positive pressure in the glovebox is that leaks in the system are harmless. Filtered air pours out of them instead of unfiltered air being sucked in through them."
"...the cost should be under $35."
Here are some pics:

My G/B is positive flow and I've never had any problems.

HEPA filter took a little searching to find. Was $30. Creates a nice little flow of sterile air

Don't know why everybody say's they don't work.
Peace,Love,Happiness and Harmony. Hippie Chick
Cost isn't going to be under $30 when the filter runs that alone.

Whoa! Professional looking! Very nice...
I'm still building mine. I like what you did with the PVC and the gloves, I've seen something similar with cream cheese containers, but yours looks so much better.
