couple of questions
    #493093 - 12/16/01 05:04 PM (21 years, 11 months ago)

i have a couple of questions. if anyone could help out i would be very grateful. i recently put two cakes in a terranium. one flushed (oddly though only on the very bottom), but now the growth has almost completely stopped on all but one of them. there is one that is growing well, the rest are the same size as they were a week ago. will they grow bigger? is the big one, maybe, taking to many nutrients from the smaller ones? also, in the past day, a bluish color has appeared a bit in one spot. it doesn't look like a competing mold, but rather that the mold just turned that color. does anyone know what that is? would anything help my fun guys out a bit? i am using perlite to get my humidity and it is about 70-73 degrees in the tank, although, i think it might be warmer. again, any help is much appreciated! thanks!

No, they are aborts, pick them now before they rot.

Yes.

Natural mycelium bluing. This is normal, especially if the humidity is too low.
