Jay-Z has definite skills. With that said, I'm not a fan, especially of the last two albums. Despite, the Unplugged Jay-Z...I don't know why, maybe it's because the Roots are his backing band, but I actually like it. The "bling-bling", "flossing ice" mentality...I really don't care about that on this album. I can listen to it and enjoy it. If only Jay-Z wasn't such a commercial bitch...the man has got talent.

Hmm... Have you heard Jay-Z Unplugged? Are you familiar with the Roots? This was not a discussion on Michael Bolton.

I liked big pimpin by JZ, but I don't really like all his mexican mama raps. Tupac has 1000 times better skills than JZ in my opinion. The roots are cool though. Have you ever heard of del the funky homosapien?

Rapping is not a tallent.. Rappers get no more respect from me than those beatnick poets trying to read with conviction... Producers, writers, marketing agents, media execuitives. The same people who bring you Back Street Boys, New Kids On the Block and NSYNC, Theirs the REAL tallent in most rappers. As for the bling bling and all.. Thats bull shit... Only time will tell what the future of rap will be like as the history is verry short..

felix- yeah, del is phat. Check out his first album, I forget the name but you can probably find it online. "Mr dobalina" is a good song. He is also the rapper on clint eastwood by the gorrilaz. I guess he is in the group blackilicious too. Cool mofo. Bone thugs n harmony did a song about taking ecstacy. It's kind of funny. They flip out. Xhibit is good. His shrooms song is funny. haha. Have you heard his early raps with the Alcoholics? Oh yeah- gabbadj, you are a cool dude, but give rap a chance. Not many white people liked blues or jazz when it first arrived on the scene, but eventually it grew on them.

Del...Deltron with Kid Koala and Automator...an excellent album. Del's album containing "Mr. Dobalina" is called "I Wish My Brother George Was Here". Del's great, but not in Blackalicious. He is, however, in the Hieroglyphics, which I recommend if you enjoy his solo stuff.
