    #485878 - 12/10/01 10:34 AM (22 years, 3 months ago)

Well i have encountered problems with posting pics from the last two computers ive been on, but theyre fruiting nicely here in sarasota.

--We just found a couple more at sarasotas "Five Points" park.

Along with that we found them at night-time, also.

Keep shroomin,
and have a look around some lawns for

Pictures......we want......pictures.Some of those awesomely amazing, world famous GGreatOne234 pictures.
Otherwise, we're not gonna believe you ; )
LK would have pictures.MJ would too.Even that damn "doo" fellow would probably have pics, although they'd probably be blurry as hell.
You gotta get with the program man! ; )
Hehehehe...........just fuckin' with ya GG.
Hope you get to eventually post'em.
The very first casters you found, were found in the springtime
( I think).Ya'll must be having unusually warm weather for this time of year, for them to fruit now.Congrats' on the find.
I've been keeping my eye open for this species, since you found your first specimens last season.Hopefully they'll turn up in my area.

Yo doo, here is a couple of them.

Annie found this one on a late night walk and brought it home to me. :)

-I printed this mushroom (Panaeolus castaneifolius),
But it only gave a small amount of spores to the print.

+We are going today to a known location were the dreamy castaneifolius' have been found before.

Hopefully getting more pics and prints.

Keep shroomin bro,

:) Thats them :)

brewinb,I'm not positive, but I think the species Pan castaneifolius doesn't tend to show much bluing, except maybe at the stem base,or possibly the mycelium. There are probably exceptions to this, with bluing on the stem or cap,but I don't think it's common.
The mushies in your pictures appear to be Panaeolina foenisecii,a non-active species. They are very similiar in appearance to the ones GG found,as are a lot of the pans.Don't take my word on this though, let some of the more knowledgable folks here give you their opinion.
GG,from looking at you pics of this species, past and present,I'm fairly sure this is the mushroom I found a few years back, growing from a wheatstraw bale.I wish I had been more sure back then, but WTF,I still have prints of those mushrooms.
I didn't realize that the casters were as potent as you mentioned.I kinda always figured they'd be mildly active. That's good news though, the stronger the better.....hehehe.....
I think I'm gonna go for a stroll through some lawns.........

They are mildly potent, GG I once ate like 30 casters, and tripped ok, but not so hard, if they were that potent as you say they are i should have fried my brain...
and yes they do bruise blue but only in the mycellium,

Greetings Airdog, :)

These ones pictured above are from Florida, lawns.
--..maybe they grow better in my local =)

+They are stronger than copelandia.
-They taste better than copelandia.
-Theyre effects are smoother than that of of the copelandia, in my local.

-They only show bluing at the mycelium at the base of the stem, and not on every mushroom, but these are Not Pan. foenisecii.

From some recent tests (Ive sent prints of these to a knowledgeable cultivator, to be grown.) -And they are showing signs of scelorocia*. Similar to Psilocybe tampenesis & P. mexicana.

Keep shroomin,
GG

Well we have done good so far today (Annie & I).

First we picked about 8 Pan. castaneifolius,
in neighboring lawns.

Then picked around 50 Copelandia cyanescens,
from local cow field.

Along with that, several nice specimens of the Meadow Mushroom,
-an Edible mushroom,
Found in local cow field.

& On the way back,
-found a new patch of Gymnopilus luteofolius,
In a residential, flowerbed.

=)

No Cubes.

Keep shroomin,
Were ever you are.

Even if your not in the land of
24hours/7daysaweek/356 a year,
Shroomtopia,
a.k.a., Florida,
The land of the flowers and shrooms and great winter weather.
:)

Everybody north of the border,
I wish you a warm and shroomy dormant season for the mushrooms.
-For here...the fun just never seems to end.

:)
