weak shrooms
    #492178 - 12/15/01 06:48 PM (17 years, 1 day ago)

Last night I ate my whole sack of about 30 fresh grams of equadors, finished off my friends sack, probably about 5 grams, and then drank a little bit of a mushroom slushy. ALL FRESH! I hit a level 1! WTF. They were picked two days earlier and kept in the freezer, in an opaque bag. When they thawed they were all green and slimy. Anybody got any ideas of why I trip hard at all?

when ANY plant matter (or most animal matter too) is frozen, the cells are broken because water expands when frozen. What's left is mushy and destroyed.

I imagine that your lack of trip could be attributable to not ingesting the nasty slimy liquid that was left behind. Most of the magic was probably in that undesirable mess.

If you must freeze, make sure the product is bone dry. Of course, if it's bone dry, there's no need to freeze. . .

Shit if I had known that I would have licked that water up. Thanks for the advice. I'm going to dry my next batch.
