I'm getting a 4-tier greenhouse about 18" x 26" x 52". What's the best way to keep the temp up in there? Would it be possible and effective to submerse my 50 watt fish tank heater in the cool mist?

Is your room temp not high enough for fruiting?
Try a medium-wattage lightbulb to raise temps...Or do as Agar does in his freezer incubators, wrap foil around a lightbulb a couple layers thick...this would be radiant heat in a greenhouse unless it's sealed, then it would turn ambient..

A small watt OUTDOOR type light bulb, wrapped in aluminum foil, with a dimmer switch in the line, is an effective adjustable heater - for small spaces.

Yeah I'm going to need to boost it about 10 - 15 degrees I'm predicting. There's gotta be a more promising way to sustain constant temps.. Lightbulbs create light, and dry heat..

Beautiful avatar Agar...Is that a gemstone? Of what family does it belong?
What size of area does the bulb wrapped heat?

well i got a 250W infrared heat lamp that's for indoor residential applications. Finally got the brains to read the box and noticed it says Keep lamp dry, keep wet and cold objects from contacting the lamp.
should i exchange it, or will tinfoil do the trick?
