how long do spores last???

i got a mexicub print and a gt print around 4-5 months ago. i strored them in a tic-tac container and then inside a piggy bank. now i just got an empty syringe and i want to put spores in it as soon as posible.
and i also made honeywater about 3 months ago, theres a shit load of mycelium in there and nothing looks contaminated, but is it still alive?
