Honey Water Question...

I've got a bunch of honey water jars going....They're growing well, but seem to have stalled...Does the mycellium reach a saturation point where it stops growing even if there's still food left in the water??? Also, could it have to do with the amount of spore water used (meaning...Will 2 cc's of spore water only generate a certain amount of mycellium, or should the entire jar eventually fill)???

Yes, the mycelia reaches an uncertain amount, then stops growing. The amount of spores used should only effect the growth rate.

The mycellial growth will slow or stall when the nutients in the water lower to a certain level. The amount of your inocculant will vary the colonization rate, but not the amount. I usually only use 1 cc or less per jar.

like the others said, the mycelium will slow/stop when the nutrients run out, BUT this will not happen unless you either added too little honey, or until there is a large puffy cloud of mycelium already in there. So if you only have a little bit of mycelium in the jar, either there was too little food for it to begin, or i would suspect your incubation temp may be too low.
