My karo syrup jars have stalled (see below). I think they ran out of food.
The recommended mix is 100ml water/5ml honey or syrup. What if I doubled the honey/syrup and kept the water in the same amount?

puscle is right... you need to stick to a 4% solution or the mycellium will od on the extra sugars :-)

Yes, at 10%, sugar becomes toxic to mycelia.

ok. I got a tek off of another site that recommends a 5% mixture. Could it stall the growth being just 1% over?

Slightly higher than 4% won't hurt, but I certainly wouldn't double it. I have had some jars take several weeks to fully colonize. Keep your temps around 85 and it should be fine.

Oh, I have some that have obviously run their course and they look a bit weak. They are exactly one week old. I have had them up to 82deg(F) for 16 hrs a day and about 70deg(F) at night. they just look weak is all. I'll use em' and see what happens. They are clean though.
