software/warez busts
    #491647 - 12/15/01 02:23 AM (15 years, 9 months ago)

quite recently FBI raids across the globe have taken place against members of a warez group, DOD (drink or die)

(if you have no interest in this, dont bother reading the rest - but i do think its relevent to how alot of other important issues are handled by the US gov)

This is an official statement about the raids from the FBI
http://www.usdoj.gov/opa/pr/2001/December/01_crm_643.htm

what are people's opinions on the whole software piracy situation? theres a statement here that sums up what i think (yeah i didnt write it.. but i 100% agree with what it says)

http://www.isonews.com/announcement-raids.php3

thanks for any input..

Info belongs to the people, no matter if it's in a library book or the Windows source code.

stealing software is wrong. If you created it, it is yours. Noone can justify stealing information that is not yours no matter how much you need it
