Less likley to contam??

I was wondering useing only one of the jars holes to inoculate.
would that cut down more risk of contam beacause of useing only one hole.I was going to inoculate 2 jars with 6cc each it should conlizer quicker that way right??? :thumbup: :smile:

im an newbie, but i would think putting 6cc from a syringe in each jar might throw of the water mixture in ur jars.... (just a guess tho)

no i seen 12cc and 10 cc shot into one jar 5 day colinzation

maybe of LC but I it's hard for me to believe that using multi spore that it took 5 days for inoculation spots to form and spread through the entire jar, but anything is possible.

I would spead the point around though instead of using one spot. There PF method is that way for a reason. I am sure everyway possible has been tried.

Are you talking 1/2 pt jar.Wouldn't that mess with water content?

I would think a spore syringe, very dark purple would be better than messing with water content.

More inoculation points = faster colonization.
I use 5 points, 4 outside rim and 1 center.
1cc each for a pint jar of grain = 5cc's per jar.
but you could also inoculate 10 jars with 1 syringe and still get great results.

:thumbup:

the faster the cake becomes fully colonized, the less time contams have to get a foothold.  use sterile inoculation procedure (injecting through alcohol soaked paper towel) and you should be alright.

bump)can I enject through 1 hole and inject 6 cc in a 1 quart through that hole?Im tryn to spawn to poo soon too..need to get the ball rolling...

If your doing 1 qt grain jars that wouldn't be a problem.
You probably wouldnt need 6cc's though 2.5 - 3 should be fine.
Fill your jars so they are 3/4 full and shake right after you inoculate to spread out the innoculant.

Look into LC's, this can take up to 5 days off your colonizing time as there is no need for the spores to germinate.
