Another Autoclave Question

Ok, I know we've been over this, but i guess i am just worried that the autoclave will disrupt the water concentration in my jars.
there is a gravity and a liquid setting, i assume i should run it on the gravity setting w\ sterilization only--no dry cycle--at maybe 30 minutes? i'm not sure what the T and P are on our autclave but i can adjust it.
also, there are 4 holes in each jar cap and i have the caps covered w\ tinfoil. should i loosen the caps or will the holes be enough to vent and keep the glass from shattering? thanks!

oh--i forgot to mention, the reason for my concern is that i know the liquid cycle offers slow exhaust prevents sterilized liquids from boiling in other words---steam is exhausted slowly at the end of the cycle. The gravity option however charges the chamber with steam and holds it at a set pressure and temperature for a set period of time and at the end of the cycle opens a valve which rapidly returns psi to ambient. i am concerned that this sudden drop in pressure will cause a problem...

Just allow pressure to DROP TO ZERO, before you exhaust & open it.

i sterilize my jars on the liquid cycle which is the slow exhaust. I would be worried about the gravity (fast exhaust) as well. As it exhausts on that cycle it will create an intense vacuum pulling alot of moisture from your jars. The fast exhaust cycle is mainly meant for sterilizing equipment. What do the adjustments for the T and P say? they could be adjustments for temp and pressure. There is no real need to leave the lids loose and no need to put them on really tight either. Just snug and you will be fine, the holes in the lid will keep the pressure from building in the jars so nothing will break. Remember this though, let them cool down inside the autoclave before opening it, a sudden drop in temp could break jars.
