Lighting systems for salvia/geraniums/random other plants.

Here's the deal. I've got a pair of HPS and a pair of MH lamps availible, all 400 watts.
But i'm just looking to overwinter these plants.

Would the energy cost spike be worth it, or should i just go and find myself a flourescent fixture to hang?

The 4 bulb paired flourescents would be putting out something like 2200 lumens/sq foot over approx 6 square feet.

The halides would be putting out approximately triple that. Or i could just build a reflector, hang em both, and have something like 3000~3500 square foot with double the space.

each light fixture would be the equivalent of running a computer, it's not a
signifigant spike until you start running several kilowatts, overwintering wouldnt
requite as much light as it would for the growth cycle, it could be done with
compact fluros and one HPS, most plants need a dormat period so you'll need to
reduce the heat to below 40 and water less
